    Hi all,

Does anyone else find it difficult to find venues that allow for outside catering? I'm struggling to find venues in the Sussex/Surrey area that allow for this...it seems like everyone wants you to use their own caterers and to charge a fortune for this! I want to get married but I don't really want to spend a fortune on it! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

How big is your wedding party? Check out places like gr0up0n who do package deals. Or how about a field/piece of land where you can put a marquee up and have outside caterers then

Community centres are normally good for own catering. I went to a wedding where they got an external caterer to do their evening buffet at a golf course that had function rooms.

Have you tried B1rl1ng M@nor in East Dean, East Sussex? We viewed there as a potential venue and you have free reign on everything.

Local village halls may be a good choice if you want outside catering. Our venue has 4 outside caterers that we had to choose from which seemed like a good compromise so we could pick our favourite. X

Thanks for your help all. I done a lot of searching and chatting with OH and hopefully we've narrowed it down to 2 venues now - we'd have to use their caterers but it doesn't break the bank at least!
