We arent having a theme other than colour- I am having a mix of purples - purple flowers, purple in the baloon, cake, welcome cocktail etc.
CommentAuthorMrs T. 2 Be
We do t have a theme as such but our main colour is cadburys purple and we have incorporates butterflies in our invites and centre pieces. Then, with my love of Betty Hoop and H2b love of Poker we have incorporated these into our stationary such as post box, name cards, table numbers/names and table plan.

Rustic Lace! Lots of it, wrapped around the invites, table/place settings, candles, wrapped in lace, my dress is lace. Colours are aubergine and caramel. The lace idea has come from my lace dress. Add we are getting married in a barn, so lots of flowers, and jam jars etc

CommentAuthorCandyD98
VICYB70 tell me about the aston villa theme? do you mean the colours of Aston Vila?
CommentAuthorSoonToBe
Mrs C to be, your dress is absolutely beautiful
CommentAuthorVickyB70
Hi candy! Yes everything is claret and blue! I wanted it to look nice though rather than tacky which I think we've pulled off lol! I also think I'm going to do a ticket system because each of our guests will get 2 free drinks behind the bar so i had the idea of doing villa style tickets and when they order their drink they use their ticket! Just to incorporate the theme so it's more than just the colours x

We are having purple (Cadbury) as our colour and then our theme will be chocolate/sweets. We have a bit of a reputation with our friends as having a sweet tooth, so it is a bit of a laugh at ourselves and it matched the colour so we thought 'why not?'
CommentAuthorMrs T. 2 Be
We very early did that too mrsP2b as we too, in particular H2b, are known for having a sweet tooth. Another of our options was a football theme as we are both big Southend United FC fans but thought this would be predictable for us and we both wanted a theme that was very us but not what people would expect.

Chocolate/Sweetie theme!!!
We love the goodies so we're having sweetie trees, jars, vases etc with sweets/chocs that we can fill. Guests will be sat on the 'Ferrero Rocher' table for example when they look for their seating plan :D No other theme apart from the decor really, we're having an autumn wedding so want autumnal stuff and leaves and twigs and lights for decor :D

We're doing music. Our tables are named after performers and composers, and our logo is a combination of treble and bass clefs.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
CommentAuthorTrasaD
Ours is going to be red and white roses because of our lines for each other taken from Shakespeare. He is my red rose king and I am his white rose queen :) but we're having everyone else with red peonies (it's the first flower Jay gave me) and white snowdrops (his daily Nick name for me). And we're using God's/goddesses as our theme:) xoxox
CommentAuthorVickyB70
I saw that princess pixie! Not going quite as far as he did but was good to see our theme bought to life! Lovely to hear everyone else's themes, we are all so different and themes are so much easier to do these days x
CommentAuthorCrawf
We don't have a theme as such but our colours are orange and grey and I' have featured a lot of lace without realising so I suppose that's in the theme too!! Xx
CommentAuthorSJJ
We are having an underwater/beach theme as we are scuba divers and love the beach and sea! Messages in the bottles, shells, fish bowls (no fish), seaside couple lifesize couple (heehee) we want it to be FUN rather than traditional :) xx
CommentAuthorCandyD98
I must admit I have never heard of chocolate/sweet theme until now! and it sounds so interesting i would want to be there to fill my face with the sweets.lol. Hearing all these themes I feel like the fairy tale theme is quite a minor actually but this Bridezilla here has got her heart set on being the princess from THE DAY onwards :) xxx
CommentAuthorShanni86
If we were having a larger/more formal day we'd have more of an AVFC theme, tables names, things like that, but as it is just using claret with accents of blue, so it's not too over powering.
I'd actually decided on the colours of claret and ivory for the day, then baby blue and white for the evening (yes, the ideal, when I'm rich and famous & cost is the last thing on my mind!) when I was about 14, so 4 years before I'd even met Liam or had any knowledge of football what so ever, then ended up with a season ticket holder, so think it was definitely fate!! x
CommentAuthorNicolaG1
We are having a travel theme, map of the world seating plan, tables named after cities we've visted, suitcases as props, hot air balloons as centrepieces and the colours are teal and ivory xx
CommentAuthorNicky2988

Some fantastic themes!! We are having a gingerbread theme - getting married three days before Christmas but didn't want it to be overly Christmassy if that makes sense!!! We are having champagne, ivory and a hint of brown colours.

I would love to have had a theme, but we are just doing a baby pink and burgundy colour theme. I would have probably done a games theme, if we were having a bigger wedding, but I dont think it will look right in our social club.
