Going to make a mini wedding cake with my mum tomorrow as a practice! Very exciting :)

Also going to have a trial with a different hair and make up lady, the venue beauticians were being a bit ridiculous with timings so I am looking into other things! This lady I found on fb but then she was at a local wedding fair last weekend so I got to meet her :) this is some of her work that I like

My mum has just moved house so was a different oven......ended up burnt and a bit lopsided! Luckily we have plenty of time to practice! I did get to use the new kitchen aid though!

Oh wow.... you have done so much already...... Your making me feel that i should get a move on... i haven't even found a venue, iv just about compiled my guest list and decided my bridal party... i am slacking...

But i must say the dress is absolutely beautiful and i love your head piece, it is pretty...
I am excited to see the cake attempt...

I would go with the white/ivory pair of shoes... they are nice.. look really comfortable aswell....

To be honest we originally had a date in 2016 but once we started planning we realised we knew what we wanted and could just about afford to bring it forward. I'm a scientist in quality management so used to being over organised and meticulous :)

Found a dress for our flowergirl for a bargain £19, hopefully she won't be too big for it by August. Probably going to add some purple ribbon along the bottom hem too :)

Loving your dress by the way, love the sparkle! All coming together nicely, im planning a cake run too but fruit cake so i have a long time to decorate it and will be easier to transport. Im hoping to start it soon and have it as a weird christmas cake!

Our cake dry run was also a fruit cake, needs more booze we have decided.

My mum is going to make the bottom tier fruit, them we have are going to have fake tiers. We will have some cutting bars in the kitchen which will be chocolate sponge and lemon sponge. Cuts down costs and makes it less stressful, my grannie is going to put the whole thing together and make the flower decorations. She is quite the cake maker :)

Noticed a difference in the venue's brochure which now says next years price is £75pp, and we were quoted £85pp. Got confirmation today they will honour the brochure price (of course!!) so we have saved over £600! Yay!!!!!

An exciting few days coming up!

Spending the whole afternoon with my grannie on Saturday, her and my mum are making the cake so we are going to my step sister's mum's shop to get all the things we need. Then we are going to make a start on the flowers to go on the cake so they have plenty of time to dry and we have plenty of time to get them wrong ;) My grannie is amazing, my mum and I are a bit more clumsy though haha.
We are going for a square version of this, potentially with teal ribbon instead of purple.

Sunday we are going to pick up our wedding rings!

Then on Tuesday I have my hair and make up trial, which I'm so excited about as I can't envision how my hair is going to be on the day yet so it's hard to imagine.
I'm thinking something like this

After that we are booked in at the dress shop to try the sample dress on again with the whole look, and my shoes, and my actual veil will be in the shop so I can take that away with me :D

The invites are on their 4th draft, so we are very nearly there with those too!
Menu tasting booked for the 15th March (one year since we got engaged) and we are going to see the band play a public gig on the 19th March.

Definitely in full swing now we are in 2015!
