I am currently shopping for insurance at the mo and finding it difficult to choose which one I should go with!

Just to let you know, debs are offering a £10 voucher and if you go through some well known cash back sites, debs are offering from £10 to £20, when you buy your policy, any extra pennies towards my day are appreciated!

I went with Debenhams...only got a fiver voucher though the tight swines! best thing we did though cos its peace of mind that if anything goes wrong we won't be out of pocket. their insurance is pretty comprehensive - i found some of the cheaper options had a lot of weird little clauses that made me a bit uncomfortable - at least with debenhams they are a big name not likely to go out of business etc...xx

How much does wedding insurance normally cost? Something we have never even thought of looking at and have no clue wat it covers you for. Is it like if businesses go out of business etc?

Yeah it does sydnie. Covered suppliers going bust etc. Can cost anything from like £15-60 average and is just a one off payment. Saying that though, I've not got any!

Seriously?? I expected a lot more. Might have a look into it, although most of the companies we've gone for are large companies so wouldn't think they'd go bust. Thanks :)

Obviously it depends on your budget as well.. if you need say £5000 worth of cover for your rings compared to £1000, then your premium would obviously be a bit higher.. I think we went with the silver policy band. Not only does it cover suppliers going bust but it will also cover you in the event they didn't turn up, if your wedding gifts are damaged/stolen, etc... xx

With [email protected] there is a £50 for each 'area' - i.e. £50 excess for cars/transport, £50 excess for wedding attire.. x
