    Hi everyone!
My wedding is in 7 weeks and I'm so stressed! I'm getting married in the ***N0rf01k @rm5 h0t31 in Arundel West Sussex on 28th May and I've just found out the hotel is temporarily closed due to an issue with their fire alarm panel. I've spoken to the events manager and she is reluctant to say when the hotel will re open and obviously I'm in a huge panic as our wedding is in 7 weeks!
Is anyone else getting married at this venue soon and has any more information? Has anyone else been in this situation?
    Thank you!!

EDIT : VENUE NAME DISGUISED IN LINE WITH FORUM RULES. MODS

I know it's easy for me to say don't panic- but your weddi is still 7 weeks away- a lot can happen in the world in this amount of time, if the place still isn't open with 3 weeks to go I would be asking more questions- this stage I don't think you should be panicking. What I Woukd do is just in case, see if there is anywhere else that could do it last minute of need be?

As Michelle says - don't panic. If there is an issue with the fire alarm panel which means its not working then they can't be open due to health and safety. I'm sure they'll want to put it right asap so they can open again.

Keep in contact with the organiser. Another tip is to look on their website for room reservations for your date and if they are accepting bookings then you will be ok.

Hope it all turns out ok for you x

Check your contract with the venue to see what their policy is if they have to cancel - though I'm sure everything will work out okay for you, as there is still 7 weeks to go.

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

I'm sure they will get it sorted very quickly, as they are going to be losing income while they are closed. Keep in touch with them so they don't just sit back and ignore the problem. I did hear of a venue in Northumberland that suddenly closed due to finance, and a number of weddings were affected but all were relocated. Other local venues bent over backwards to accommodate people, and made agreements about finance so people had chance to get money back from insurance or from the original venue before needing to pay. It might be worth talking to some other venues just in case, as I'm sure they will do what they can to accommodate.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
