HELLO EVERYONE! I am a new user to UK BRIDE, I only got engaged 2 months ago, but am eager to start planning. I was wondering if anybody had any different ideas for a wedding instead of the traditional type. Thanks in advance

Hello! Welcome and congratulations on your engagement.. happy planning!!

I don't think many people actually do full on traditional anymore.. what kind of things are you in to?

We are having a country garden/vintage/pastel inspired day in a country house - we are having the ceremony and the wedding reception there. I'm not having a MOH so there goes one tradition.. and my other half is having 2 best men so bang goes another! x

haha, No I agree I don't think many people do the full traditional weddings anymore. I love the idea of a spring/vintage wedding. lots of hand picked flowers, glass bottles and jam jars as flower vases, I also love Disney, anything DISNEY!!!! I WOULD GET MARRIED IN DISNEYLAND if I could afford it ha! Im on a tight budget but hoping to make the day memorable, we don't want the BIG OTT wedding, just small and intimate is our thing. I also like the idea of LOVE BIRDS, I think the idea is soo cute. My OH is to fond of the idea, but like he said to me last night 'its your day really'. ha! x

Hello and welcome, ours is rather untraditional. We are having a doctor who theme, and not having a "top" table etc, having things the way we want them if they are "traditional" and we like them we have them if it's not normal and we like it we still doo it.
