hi, as im getting married in malta, i will be having an informal wedding reception about 3 weeks later in my hometown.
my idea is a hint of harry potter theme. well a hint.
im hoping to have a sorting hat cake on this 'sorting' table. you have to find your name and when you find it, you open it and it will tell you which house you are in.
id like to divide the group into fours however large. i hope to divide the kids evenly as possible in these groups as im hoping to do a tri-wizard tournament. the dragon egg hunt which the kids will do, then the adults can guess the bertie bott flavours. i have a friend who supplies them in a shop. and then the third game im thinking of 'who said what.' count up the points and who ever wins the group shot is the trophy. i thought it was a good idea so iv written tht down.

however...... the wedding favours..... since it is informal. i was thinking... on the Bay of E, i have found a mould tray of frogs. i was thinking of melting the chocolate and making the chocolate frogs just like the film. also a handfull of generic flavour beans in little bags. the beans and frog goes in a brown sweet bag with tags on, the first one says 'i solemnly declare i am up to no good' the second one says 'thank you, with love, mr & mrs dalby.' and the third one says 'mischief managed' all tied onto a string.

what do you think? would you expect more from a wedding favour??

I Love this!! We are having N&Ns personalised in our theme colours. I will be bulk buying them and then putting them in cellofane bages with a name tag and coloured ribbons so you are definitley putting more effort into yours than I appear to be lol.

    Love it!

Honestly, the only favours I'd like as a guest would be edible ones; not really a fan of little trinkets etc TBH. Most people like sweets and chocolate, and it goes really well with the theme, so I say go for it.

PS there was a seller on the Bay recently selling 1kg of jelly beans (the posh ones) for £9.99 which was a great deal, so, maybe keep an eye out for deals like that?

remember that if you are taking them with you to malta you will have to declare them on your card and at customs

    aw thats cute..
we literally bought chocolate hearts and organza bags in our colours... then got 5 of each in each bag. as originally you had the 5 sugared almonds to represent the love, fertility, happiness etc etc but obv more people eat chocolate than almonds! x
