    Hi
Was just wondering how many brides have hired their wedding dress. What were your experiences ? What sort of prices are there? Is it worth it ? Also what company did you use ? Just in struggling to find one. I'm finding it difficult to justify buying one when I could potentially hire it for cheaper. However there doesn't seem many companies out there doing it. TIA

I did think about hiring my dress but I have decided against it as you have to be so careful as to not getting it stained (red wine lover!) Otherwise you could lose your deposit x

I'd check out sales in local shops as well as you may be able to buy one cheaper than hiring. I do not know of anywhere hiring now.

For me personally I wouldn't feel Comfortable wearing a hired dress- I also think many companies don't do it as can easily get ruined.

Depending on where you liv there are loads of discount places to get cheap dresses- there was someone of here of bought a dress in the sale from 8hs for £100 so there are bargains to b had, just a case of looking I think xx

Hi, I can understand your chain of thought for hiring, however your justification is its your special day and your allowed to have a special dress. I personally wouldn't like a hire dress and I'm guessing you won't be able to alter it, so that may limit your choices especially if you like strapless, my dressmaker told me 90% of ladies have to have the dress altered around the bust area.
There are plenty of options out there including bay of e, also I got my dress from a small town dress shop and when I was researching my dress the bigger city stores had the same dress but were charging £350+ more.
My dress cost £495 and my alterations were £250, my alterations costs were more than some would pay as I had the zip on the back changed to a lace up, the length at the front bought up at the front and then graduated down so you can see my shoes and she took it in at the bust as well.
My dress is Savannah by R0m@nt1c@ of D3v0n, also when I found the dress the lady said she didn't need to order it for quite a few months as the line had only just come out and then she stored it free of charge for me x

EDIT: BRAND NAME DISGUISED IN LINE WITH FORUM RULES. MODERATORS

Think the ladies have said it all already. There are so any outlets out there with so much choice as well you probably won't save any money by hiring. Just need to look in the right paces x
