    Hello everyone, first time posting.
Our wedding venue has a lovely little 'coach house' that the bridal party can stay in the night before up to 6 people. Im only having two bridesmaids and obviously my mum. So would be perfect for us to get ready have the hairdresser come to me ect.
So would we need a wedding car? Does the groom just show up in whatever car he feels?
We have a friend that owns a really nice jaguar so maybe he could just drive him there?
    I have no idea haha.
Thanks in advance for all the advise.

Are you getting married in the same venue? If so, it would seem like an awful lot of money to spend on a car for a 2 second journey.

We are having our friend drive me in his jag so that could definitely be an option for your OH. X

When OH was best man for his friend he drove him in in his Merc, just put a ribbon on the front.

You could book a car for OH or get him driven there - he might not be bothered on one hand but could be looking forward to it on the other.

I'm driving to our venue for 8am and we get married there so I won't need further transport. We have booked OH a R4ng3 R0ver 7 seater for him, best man, page boy, best mans wife and 2 kids.....

We will have my car at the venue for the day after xx

If your not too fussed about a car personally I'd save your money and just walk and if your oh happy using the jag or getting a lift. My oh will probably just get a lift or use a friends nice car. If I was staying at my venue I wouldn't bother with a car rather spend the money on another part :) x

I wouldn't bother with a car either as you are practically already there. Unless you really wanted a car for photo opportunities or anything - you could always make use of it by going on a little drive with your OH after the ceremony/pictures to have some alone time together. But generally I would save your money and not bother.

Your OH can arrive however he wants to, I don't think people would just expect him to have a car - remember that not all your guests will be at the venue when he arrives, so not everyone will see his arrival. My OH is fine with a family member just driving him - not even in a fancy car, but just shove some ribbons on it or something - he even said he would be happy to drive himself! I am however thinking of surprising him with a VW camper to collect him, his dad and his brother and take them to the venue. I love VW campers myself and am also thinking of the photo opportunities we will have from it xx

If you asked the friend with the jag to drive your OH there he will be there a lot earlier than you so the friend could always come and pick you up from the cottage if the weather wasn't so perfect. X

You know some black cabs are pretty classy when you tart them up a bit. See if your local taxi rank has one and get them to attatch a bit of ribbon.

We are not having cars as I will be staying at the venue the night before, as will my parents and bridesmaids (my 2 daughters and best friend). We will be going out for a meal to a local pub so will have our car with me.

OH will be picked up by the best man on the morning of the wedding. he will be staying at home with his boys the night before.

I was thinking of hiring him a nice old merc - nut it just doesn't seem worth the money, as its not really going to be seen other than by the best man, OH and his kids

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan
