My wedding breakfast will be three hours long. I'm worried that it may quiet during this time. Do you normally have music playing in the background? If we do have music, do you think having it on a CD or IPod would be a problem? X
Will become Mrs Holland on 08/08/2017

We are having an acoustic guitarist to play for our reception drinks and through wedding breakfast.
You don't need music, however OH and I always have music in the background so thought it would be fitting for our wedding-
Most venues have some sort of PA system and should allow you to plug in an iPod

We have had a custom cd made up for our background music. Its our favourite songs played only on a piano. It will also give the guests something to talk about when they are sitting listening to it and trying to work out what songs they are. xx

Sorry for posting a link moderators, was just saying that we've booked an acoustic duo called Cash Cows on a site called FixTheMusic - they do pop covers in a vintage style. imo soloists or acoustic duos are best for the wedding breakfast part of the day, hope this helps x

We are having background music on an ipod. Asking the guests for their suggestions of what they'd like to hear on our invites to help lengthen the list. Need alot of songs. The last wedding I went to we heard the entire greatest hits of The Carpenters 3 times during dinner!

We will be making a play list of our favourite 'easy listening' songs to have on quietly during the meal.

We need to provide CDs or we will be stuck with music of the venues choosing!

We didn't have music playing during our wedding breakfast and it wasn't missed. People we're busy chatting to friends and family and catching up with people they hadn't seen for a while to notice if there was music playing or not. I wouldn't worry too much about the music personally.

I would definitely have music playing in the background - I am sure your venue will be able to play a CD/ip0d for you. Ours had the facility to use an ip0d.
We had a harpist playing through our wedding breakfast, it was really lovely. So many people commented on it and said what a nice touch it was.
