Our venue doesn't have set menu's so we can just pick anything we want and then ask if it's within our budget.
So far we have:
Starters:
Leek and Potatoe Soup Traditional Prawn Cocktail Chicken Satay Skewers
Mains: Chicken wrapped in parma ham on a bed of grilled asparagus Salmon fishcake served with salad and new potatoes Vegetarian course TBC
Deserts: Vanilla cheesecake served with rasberry coulis Brandy snap basket filled with summer fruits Sticky toffee pudding
Does that sound nice?? im not very creative with food!

I would certainly be happy with picking one of each of those course, i dont think you need anything too creative, as you are bound to get the people that are fussy :)x
I have know my soulmate for 27 years and on the 6th August
I married him and became Mrs Garnham.
It was most definitely the happiest day of my life.
I love married life !!!!

yeah thats why we're doing a choice menu as don't want to force people to have a set thing if they don't like it, especially as we're paying for it regardless of whether they eat it or not! We are going to get it printed up and then send out with the invites, people can tick what they want and send back with the RSVP's x

That's a good idea if you are allowed to, we can't have a choice other than a vegetarian option. I would pick chicken satay skewers, chicken in parma ham and asparagus and the vanilla cheesecake but torn between that and the brandy snap basket...oh and the sticky toffee pudding!!!! And now I am hungry and can't wait until lunch time - not that I will have nything that good! xx

all of those options sound nice. we have sort of set menu. i know about the fussy people all to well my mum wont eat anything if it has what she calls a "fancy" sauce on it, even if she has never tried it. one of our options is roast beef and yorkie pud. just for the people that are fussy lol xx
Sounds lovely and it's great you can offer a choice!

Sounds gorgeous pinkalice! If you've got any spare invites to your wedding breakfast then I wouldn't mind coming :D
How about a pumpkin & butternut squash risotto for your vegetarian course? xxx
It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

lol i wish i could but ive had to leave out some of my own family from the wedding breakfast due to cost! h2b's sister and her daughter are the only vegetarians so we're just going to ask them to pick what they want. then i can email it off and see if its within budget, fingers crossed x

It's awful when you've got to start cutting family :( We've had to do it, felt really guilty. Good idea and fingers crossed they'll be able to do it within budget!! xxx

All the food sounds gorgeous. It's always good to give guests a choice if you can. There's always someone who's a fussy eater lol. In our case it's my dad. He won't even have gravy on his meal lol. We're getting 5 choices per course so everyone should be happy.
