thanks brilly but i decided on jars with faux flowers and water pearls instead, i have already got them and tied the flowers too

Velcro - i love them too the red on them was a bit of ribbon that i will fix to the dresses as a belt.

wont be on tonight any longer, the weather has changed and i need to cut my hair as im starting to collapse again, i have already had a pack of fizzy belts and 2 packs of cherry drops and a litre of coke just to keep myself awake so i dont comatose till dean gets in, he just got in so i know he'll keep an eye on me and keep me filled with sugar (i have syncopal attacks if i get too hot, dont eat enough sugar, have too much sugar, or just simply no reason at all i collapse my eyes start rolling and i have to be slapped/ shook awake and fed sugar so i dont end up in a coma - apparently syncopal attacks is a name docs give to blacking out/ fitting ect but when they dont know what it is or what causes it) got music blarring in my ears to try an kee me awake.... dont think i will take my amatriptuline tonight as dean will have to wake me up during the night just to keep an eye on me.... hate being like this.... sorry for the emoan i tend to chat lots when like thusi to tyry to stay awake :-/

WOOOOHOOOOO Everything is crossed right now!!!!!

My youngest chose my shoes, which are tthe red stiletto shoes with the black bow in a previous post on this thread, on the rainforest they are £19.98 plus postage, from the same supplier on the bay they are £9.99 plus postage. I emailed the supplier a couple of weeks ago reagrding if they were to be getting any more of them in as they are out of stock in my size, they said they dont know when or if they will be resupplied. I found a contact number on the bay for them and have just called to enquire. She said she doesnt know when they will be restocked so I explained that I am after them for wedding shoes, my kids are hosting the wedding and my 3yr old picked them out as his favourite and so have been looking everywhere for them, so she said she would take my name and number and call her supplier and ask if they can get my size in as a one off!!!!!!!

Keep everything crossed for me please ladies!!

Today I casually log into a site to see what other bargains I could get to find that I have an email from another member regarding an advert I forgot I had put up on that site.
The advert I'm referring to is one for donations to our honeymoon as we have never really had a holiday having got two small children and are unable to afford the honeymoon and get married all together so I put a cheeky advert up asking for donations, I had one Donation of £2 when the advert was first placed, I renewed the advert and promptly forgot about it.
The email I received states that the buyer came across my advert and their heart hurt, they stated they wanted to help & could they donate more than £2 (the current set price of donations) they asked how much we have raised for our honeymoon so far and I was truthful and stated that they were only the second donator so we had raised £4 total so far. A few emails later and the totally lovely but random person has stated that they are willing to match what ever donations I get on the idea that the most I give in return is a "thank you" card!
There truely are some amazing people in this world and you know who you are!
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! You have made me smile!

EDIT: To the mods, I have edited so no longer states where ad is, hope this is ok, if not i would rather you let me know so i can edit it rather than you totally deleting the post, as this is something i personally would like to remember. so please let me know of any further problems.

Hi Ladies, I'm in need of some help please....

I have found ties on a certain bidding site however I cant quite decide if they are the same colour or not.....

I have put a few links on my wall for any who are willing to help decide... your opinions will be greatfully received.
The picture below is the colour of the ribbon(link explains) when arrived which is exactly what i needed....
    Ribbon when it came
    Ribbon when it came

The problem i have is the childs tie looks like the ribbon on the site, however the adult tie looks how the ribbon does in person & im not sure if its just the angle the photo was taken at or not. The name of the colour looks as if the childs tie was a mis-print & the seller is not english and so trying to get them to understand what i mean by "please hold both ties next to eachother & let me know if they are the same" is ridiculous I think the email they sent me was they checked the picture and colours are different.... but that means nothing to me Thanks ladies

I give up trying to upload pictures on this forum! I have just tried AGAIN to upload the ones of the novelty guest pages that I have made (I printed them this morning & took photos & tried to upload) and they are trying extreemly hard to upload photos I have already deleted from my laptop! AGAIN! I already askedIT Man to sort it for me before, which he did, but now I'm giving up! The pictures are black?! How the hell?! They are black with red and yet I'm positive the pictures I took do not have a stupid red banner on them (I didnt like it so removed it) and positive the background is white printer paper!

Some how though I managed to upload pics of the guest scrolls finally.... page 2 of this thread

    I give up!

the ties arrived about a week ago now now - just over.... It has taken me this long to get a refund on the childs tie as it is purple not red (description states red so ended up opening a case cos seller refused to reply to me...)

The adults tie is a perfect match!

Am thinking of getting a button badge maker and making button badges for party, such as "groom" ,"Grandfather of bride" etc that way it would work out cheaper making the badges than it would finding the ones I would want including ones for "sten" party etc

I started writing this post 3hrs ago.... my son fell down the stairs and I rushed him to docs and by the time we returned I totally forgot i had started typing it up..... on the plus side my son (3yrs) also wants a badge maker, hes been watching vids on the tube with me and says "thats pretty cool mum" so i think its a must... poor kid has a swollen eye, cut in the natural crease under the eye and an egg on his head!

Well the childs tie from a second seller is a perfect match! It arrived early, it was bought & paid on 8th and arrived today, was not due until 13th! So happy! I have now paid for the second one today and I may even receive that on monday lol.

The second adults tie is still on its way to me.

H2B is out in garden clearing off his workbench, maybe if the weather holds there may be a BBQ in the mix!

OK well I am not happy once again!

Never, I repeat NEVER by ties from *****!
The second adults tie was supposed to arrive on or before today, well it still has not arrived (My post came over an hour ago so i know this tie is not coming today!) So Annoyed! I have sent them a snotty message stating how annoyed I am as this is the second time I have had a bad experience with them (the first was the original childs tie that turned out to be purple not red as the description states, but i know the adults ties are correct because the first one came through as a perfect match).

Also the second (not including the purple tie from accenter) tie from the second seller was supposed to have arrived by saturday... the first one arrived early and so far the second one is 3-4 days late already! I have sent them a masseage stating I am concerned the tie may not arrived considering how late it is already.

Just need to wait for replies now & in the mean time I wish people would stop bidding on the Badge Makers I am "watching" because the other day (sunday- its now tueday) i missed out on a great one with loads of bits with it, 3 different sizes/shapes of badge making stuff all by 50p and a couple of seconds! It's really starting to get on my nerves!

    Grrrrrr... Ok Rant over.

Its mainly some money gathering now. Thank you, I do love the stationery. Also still waiting on the second adult tie. Also need to find a song about our kids wishing us luck or something of the like, want them to walk down the aisle to a song that sounds as though they are giving their permission/blessing for us to marry, however has to be non-religious and everything i have found i like somewhere has a comment about a higher power or something of the like.

Also thinking of getting my BM's together to learn a line dance. Me & my mum used to line dance when she got the all clear when i was younger. There's one song in particular that I want - Thank god for you - I can only find the sawyer brown version (original) but we danced to a female version which i cant find, i also cant find a 56 count line dance that is supposed to go with the song, which is annoying. My mum prob wont be able to attend but it could be filmed specially for her & kept until it can be given to her.

But below is a list of whats left.....

    May 2013
    1. money away for his License
    2. find & order my shoes

    August 2013
    1. Money away for Ceremony Room

    September 2013
    1. Buy Toasting wines/have money ready for sales

    December 2013
    1. Have money ready for Reception venue hire

    March 2014
    1. Have money ready for Cake

    September 2014
    1. Have food money ready

    November 2014
    1. Have DJ money ready - thinking possibly using ipod and their sound system if they have one

    December 2014
    1. Photographer
    2. Videographer
    (both from local college)

    February 2015
    1. h2b's suit jacket & trousers

    In there somewhere i will....
    1. Evening invites
    4. set a date lol
    5. finish favours (cant without a date)
    6. finish OOS (cant without a date)
    7. finish inserts (cant without a date)
    8. print maps from guests home to ceremony venue & attach to inserts
    9. lose a lil weight? maybe? - started, not sure how well its working, i seem to be fairly even with loss vs gain
    10. encourage h2b to save or there will be no honeymoon?!
    11. pass my driving test (im serious! I want to continue saving after the wedding to buy a house, which means try to get a job where its possible for me to move/sit freely due to health, which means looking further afield or winning the euro!)

Got a note through the door yesterday.... A "parcel" could not be delivered because the sender had not paid 19p of the required postage so i would have to pay £1.19 which includes a £1 handling fee if I wanted to collect it! Well I got there 7 minutes after they closed and so had to go back today!

Well I arrived thinking it was going to be the badge machine I had bought off the bay for (primarily) my son that I would "test out" to make badges as part of the favours for my guests/party....

When the lady brought out an envelope I wondered what the bloomin hell it was, I wasn't expecting anything else! I opened it there and then in front of her only to find it was a card from JOHN CLELAND!!!!! wishing us well for the wedding - written to my h2b!

    He wrote:
"I know you are a bit obsessed
by Vauxhall and its old BTCC driver!
But now your married to Kate you
can concentrate on someone else now!
    All the best

In the mean time I now have the misters notice money....

I have also discovered a bridal coat i want. seeing as we will be getting married at the end of march, you never can tell how the weathers going to act! this is the one i want.....

This is one I have found a pattern for (with the help of sarah on here)...

I am wondering if I could alter the pattern slightly to make the front more like the Justin Alexander coat? And of course this will be done in black rather than white/ivory

These are the vows I like....

    Dean:
I promise to put the top on the toothpaste, my dirty washing in the washing basket and not to clean my work boots on the kitchen table. Oh, and to love you always.

    Kate:
I promise to learn to cook something other than spag bol, not to hog the bathroom and use all the hot water, and never to ask, “does my bum look big in this?” and expect an honest answer.

    Dean:
I pledge to do my share of the dusting, the hovering, the cooking, the washing up, making the bed, cleaning the bathroom, doing the ironing, mowing the lawn, walking the dog, washing the car, decorating the house and, if I am still physically able to at the end of the day, to love you.

    Kate:
I pledge to care for you in sickness and in health, unless it is self-inflicted and at two o’clock in the morning, not to elbow you in the ribs too hard when you are snoring, to let you in after a night out with the lads and to care for your prized collection of beer bottle caps.

    Dean:
I vow to pretend to understand you when I don’t, to admit that I am wrong when I mistakenly think I am right, and to bring you chocolates at least once a week as I am bound to have done something that I should apologise for.

    Kate:
I vow not to phone my Mum more than seven times a week, to only buy one pair of shoes a month and to accept all your bad habits as being what makes you as lovable as you are.

    Dean:
I promise to pay as much attention to you as I do my car, this as you know will be a tough one for me, she’s my baby after all!

    Kate:
I promise to love you always, even when you’ve spent all day on your car & have left grease & oil marks all over the walls & doors trying to get to the sink, and to love you always.

OK I want to tread carefully here... lol

I do think your vows are lovely, but, I do think they focus more on Deans shortcomings than your own? Like they don't seem very fair and equal? Deans vows are I will do this for and I will do that to improve on myself. Then you give a couple of examples of wat you'll do then return to the topic of Dean.

    Eg:

    Dean:
I promise to pay as much attention to you as I do my car, this as you know will be a tough one for me, she’s my baby after all!

    Kate:
I promise to love you always, even when you’ve spent all day on your car & have left grease & oil marks all over the walls & doors trying to get to the sink.

There just seems to be too much emphasis on what Dean does "wrong"? It might be because its too hard to be critical of our own shortcomings so perhaps it might be fun for you to work together but separate? First you each write your own vows. Swap them over THEN write each others vows. Then take all the best sentences from there?

Sorry I didn't mean this as in to put your vows down as they are very sweet and funny. I just think they're a little one sided iykwim?

I see what you are saying, & i do agree, I have been looking for vows like these for a while now (a few years actually), I have made them merge with us, the originals state "football boots", "beer mats" "beans on toast" "flowers once a week" - I changed these to "work boots" "beer bottle caps" "spag bol" and "chocolates once a week" due to the differences we have to the original vows. When i read them to dean he made a comment about spending as much time with the family as he does the car, and i joked about all the marks i end up cleaning off the walls. (the other day i was cleaning the kitchen door frame, looked up and wondered if he just stood there with his hands on the top of the frame as it was covered in grease & oil marks). we had a good chuckle about it.

Im not really sure how to change them, dean is useless at things like this, hes more hands on but the idea of physical vows (using props), scares the hell out of him as he hates being the focus of attention, getting him to stand up infront of about 20 guests is going to be a tough one!

please feel free to critisize as this will be the only way i will figure out how to change them. I accept all critisism as "constructive critisism"

    *Phew*

well what I'd suggest is just adding in just a couple more "bad points" about yourself cause I think what you have is good, just not enough relating to who you are as a person. Maybe ask your parents and friends as well as Dean what your bad habits are, then add those in

i know what dean would say is a bad habit.....
    Wedding talk!
lack of confidance in the bedroom! (but i dont think his parents would be happy to hear me promising to tie him up and tease him more often pmsl)

Yes I think minus the bedroom talk and add in the wedding talk

other than the wedding what do you bore him talking about? just "analyse" your behaviour over the next few days. Ask dean if you snore etc "I promise only to snore half the night let you sleep the other half" do you hog covers? small silly things like that

Ok, well I havent posted on here in a while because we came into a bit of a money problem, whereby we had to use our wedding savings to pay our rent!

On the plus side, If I am extremely careful regarding Christmas presents, I should have all our savings back & 10 more hours of driving lessons by christmas, having worked this out I have also put a deposit down on a new sofa as our one has pretty much had it, everyone keeps bringing dining chairs into the living room as we dont have enough seating, I had enough & decided we NEED a new sofa!

All of the items mentioned in previous posts are still on the agenda! We (or more, I) have not changed our minds on anything regarding the wedding. By now I should have had the full amount of money for the ceremony including name change fee, licences/notices, certificate fee & registry office fees.
By the 17th September, I should have had the money for the toasting drinks (buying own wine).

Due to the problems we have had, this will not be possible however....

By December 10th 2013 I hope to have...
    Money for My Licence
    Money for HIS Licence
    Money for HIS name change
    Registry Office Fees
    Money for My Shoes
    Money for Boys Suit Jackets
    Money for Toasting Drinks
    Reception Venue Hire

I have also found that £land do white shirts for kids, so hopefully they will still do these closer to the time or failing that it will be Clubcard supermarket for school shirts.

friends are easy, i have loads of christmasy gift bags, all i have to do is head down £land & buy sweets, etc, then they can have miniture hampers for christmas, might have to do that with family too..... at least i know £land do the honey fil2b likes lol

Don't get disheartened....sadly sometimes real life gets in the way of wedding plans and you have to make cutbacks elsewhere.

You're doing great hun! People will understand that at Christmas you will have to cut back on a few things because of the wedding, besides, it's the thought that counts with Christmas presents, not how much you spend xxx

well it may seem as though i have plenty of time, however, i really don't. I mean I have the time, but I don't have the time to save. I am on a strict savings budget if I want to have all the money a month before the wedding (gives me 1 month cushion). Like I say mini hampers will have to do lol. Like you say, its the thought that counts. & people understood 3 years ago that we wanted a disc of our family photos, so we bought that, everyone got a print from it lol. they also understood last year when we chose to spend our money on our kids rather than on parents, grandparents, siblings etc. if they don't like it this time... tough! they don't have to have anything at all if they don't want, I'll save more money for the wedding then lol

I have been planning our wedding since 2008 (I had a year gap due to the breakdown of our engagement) I have just worked out that so far we have paid out £1932.09 on the wedding.

£1727.96 of this has been paid off monthly from 2010 - 2013 making just under £50 per month for 3years. This was our wedding rings and my dress.

I have only spent/saved £204.13 since February when we got engaged again, making monthly savings coming in at roughly £29.16 this is due to needing to use the savings on rent.... if i had not needed to do this i would have saved...

£593.13 making savings of £84.74 per month since february, however I needed the £389 for rent :-(

I still need £2457.50 which includes the honeymoon which works out to be savings of £136.53 per month!!! OMG this is NOT, I repeat NOT do-able! Funk Sake! Damn it!!!!

Does anyone have any idea on how I can cut down?

The Honeymoon is non negociable due to only ever having 1 holiday together and we wanna go back to that place, its in the uk and is the one thing we both really need....

    So here's whats left:
    £20.00 My shoes (Max)
    £20.00 Boys suit jackets (2 children)(Tesco £10 each)
    £35.00 My License
    £35.00 H2B's License
£30.00 H2B's name change(if done after wedding this will be doubled due to having to change BOTH of our names - we want to double-barrel like our kids)
    £170.00 Ceremony room/fees
£55.00 Toasting Drinks (1 glass cheap wine each, only drink we are providing
£160.00 Reception Venue (all day so enough time to set up before wedding)
£250.00 Cake - 3 tier made with all ingredients our son can have - i have tried making cakes over & over & they always sink!
£358.50 Food small buffet for bare minimum of people (immediate family & about 6 friends)
    £50.00 Photographer from college
£50.00 Videographer from college, want to remember the speeches, & have ceremony on film
    £100.00 H2B's suit - MAX!
£1000.00 Honeymoon this includes accomodation, spending, fuel & food money

So any ideas on where or how to cut down? would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!
