Right, so we're having a marriage blessing at a village church. I'm editing the song I am walking down the aisle to, but the part that I want is 3 minutes long. Is it too much for our 4 bridesmaids to walk down, plus me and my dad in the end?

Could you time it maybe? I think it depends on how long the aisle is and how slow you want people to walk? Speak to your church and ask if you could do a test run.

2 mins is normally ample. You could play the music then wait 20 -30 seconds before you or your first BM walks down. Sending BMs first means you can space out more with maybe sending them down one at a time waiting for them to get to the end before you enter.

We tried it out in advance. I had the bridesmaids go one at a time, there were five of them, then I entered in the second half of the song. It’s definitely best to pave it out in the church if you have a chance, it’s difficult to visualise otherwise. If not maybe someone could measure the aisle for you and you can mark it out somewhere. I would allow a little bit of music after you reach the front as well, for you to pass your flowers to a bridesmaid and for them to straighten your train if necessary.
