Hi ladies,

I get married in just over 4 months and I still have not found a videographer to film the wedding. I had convinced myself that I didn't really need it but after watching my parents and in laws wedding videos recently I really do want to have one.

I only have a budget of £450. Is that possible? It was higher but after a recent break in to my home while I was in the house my fiancé has invested in an alarm and door chains so this has reduced what we can afford!

I have emailed a few companies I have found on the Internet that seemed within my price range and had reviews but have had no response. I have also phoned and left messages and emails with 2 local colleges that have film students but had no response there either! So I'm starting to lose hope that we will be able to do this.

I don't really have anyone in the family or a friend that is willing to film it and short of dangling a camera from a helmet on my head and filming it myself I'm not sure what to do!!

Is anyone having a videographer and how did you find yours? Or if anyone could recommend someone on my wall that's in the Essex area that would be great

Hi

I asked my photographer to recommend some that they had worked with or knew in the business and ended up booking the chap. I have not met him in person but have talked over phone/email and he seemed nice. Plus he has loads of videos on Vimeo showing his work. He also sent us a full length DVD of a recent wedding he videoed and really liked his style so booked him.

His lowest package is £500 so if you could stretch the extra £50 you would get a pretty good package. I think he is willing to travel all over - although may be travel costs so would need to ask him! Will post his website to your wall.
