We are just having a photographer because videographers were expensive and H2B really wasn't keen on the idea. We will be having video recorders going round the tables so our guests can record us a message and we can do a video mash up, and we've asked a friend to video the speeches, first dance etc.

I've looked for videographers to see if I could afford them (I have a limited budget and CAN'T go over it).
As many of you said, I found it REALLY expensive, and I could never afford it. But theeeeen I found this lovely thing!
OK, tell me please how weird it would be. You basically hire the cameras (they give you online tutorials about how to use the cameras) and your friends can share it, each one recording little bits of the day (and then you get the whole day recorder). By the end of the time you hire it (four days!), they collect the cameras and can edit the film for you. I found it very personal and fun. Like, my bridesmaids filming while I am getting ready, or my friends filming the ceremony. And during the reception, we can have looooads of friends and family recording it and I think it might be sooo fun.
About the prices, I found it from £399! I have to talk to h2b to know what he thinks, but I am pretty sure it would be fun!

Luckily our photographer does the videos too for an extra £287. They are a family business and the mother and father do the pictures from 7.30am til 9pm and the daughter does the film..... I know the day will be a whirlwind and I don't want to miss it xx

See i saw that CamilaL but all the places I saw are nearly as expensive as having a videographer, and i don't trust half my guests with a camera once they have had a few, and even when there sober a proper videographer will get far better shots, there is a certain Sh00t 1t urself comp that charge 450 for basic 6 hour unedited footage with only one camera hire, for £450, or can have it edited for just under £500, we have got a basic experience videographer, 2 years out of uni, and has had lots of exp, with a uni friend who will do 2nd camera in the morning for getting ready, and ceremony 2nd angle shots for £500 and will attempt marryoke for us for a extra £100, and even then other standard videographers i have seen at fayres have quoted me £750 for 2 cameras for full day footage.

OK, I've seen the y0uf1lmy0ur0wn. It was £399 one camera, £100 plus for another camera. I thought it would be so much more personal, but I would still like to have a pepper videographer. But I've looked for around Lincolnshire area and everything is crazily expensive (over 700). Desperate!

With something like this and especially in weddings, you pay for quality and sometimes it is better to pay a bit more. One day with memories forever which could be ruined by one dodgy, cheap supplier! x

I'm really confused right now. Can't decide on anything. Need to talk to h2b about it. I don't think I can afford the videographer, but if we get at the point that our group filming the wedding wouldn't be a good idea, I think we won't have it filmed at all :/

your best bet is to contact local uni's etc for the film students if any are interested in a paid job that they can use in there portfolio.
