Im still very undecided about this, I even have a veil but it hasn't helped my decision all I keep thinking is will I regret it!!!

My sister didn't wear one because when she tried them on she didn't like the look on her and TBH, even I was laughing when she was trying them on because they just didn't suit her. My parent's weren't very happy that she didn't wear one as they're very traditional but it's her choice and if she wasn't comfortable wearing one then she shouldn't and she didn't.
What is it you're unsure about?
I wore one and loved it so much but it's not for everyone.
Don't forget there's lots of different styles too. I tried on quite a few before settling on mine.

I tried some on in the bridal shop and felt a twit but my friend said it made me look bridal, i ordered one i loved online and have tried it on a few times even with my hair done but just cant put my finger on it... i feel if i ask for friends/family opinion they will love it and say yes i should have one but don't want the added pressure

The shop put one on me i hated it.. nxt time i went in they tried a different one and i instantly said yes
Its a suprise tho only my hairdresser mam and bridesmaids know im having a veil. Its gunna b a huge shock to my dad! Im just undecided on over face or not at church.
Have u tried it in same place everytime as some veils really suit being under further bk or forward than others

Initially I was undecided too, but am so glad I did, it looks fantastic in the photos. I didn't wear it over my face though, only for a photo.
I took it off after our first dance.

It is a personal choice these days I personally didnt think id have a veil however when I put it on I knew I wanted one. Try it above and below your hair style if your having an up du, mine will sit u see my hair snd looks great like that. Remember too you don't have to keep it on all day x

If you're undecided I would say wear it. Even if it's just for the ceremony, you may regret it if you don't. And really there's no where else you're ever going to wear a veil unless you're planning to get married again! ;) if you aren't living it then take it off after the ceremony at least you have with and without pictures then. I would say it always looks different and better once everything is together and hair and make up are all done. I wasn't sure on a veil or what type and only managed to choose mine when I had my hair and make up trial and tried my dress on with it all done and I went for a long one in the end I love the way it falls, won't want to take it off!

I've always wanted a long cathedral style veil but I would never wear it over my face. However when trying some on with my dress they were just drowned out by my train of my dress! I went with a 72" veil and it's perfect :D

I did not wear one as did not want to cover my dress up at all.

I know you said you already have a veil but it might be worth going back into the shop and trying different ones on. I hated the really short ones and the long ones covered up the detail on my dress but fell for one to my bum.
I did see an episode of DTTB the other day and she didnt have a veil but had a headpiece with one of those net cages over the side of her face and it looked really lovely so maybe this could be something to think of too? X

I'm having a veil as I personally love them. I love the Long ones. But I've been to a few weddings were the bride hasn't had a veil and they were still stunning. It's a personal choice

I have one that comes to my bum as I have a long train and don't want to cover up to much detail of the dress.... can I be cheeky and ask how much you have all paid for veils as some are very pricey.....
CommentAuthorElinor Claire
I loved having a veil. Have you put it on with the dress? You need to see whether it goes well with the dress or not, and as others have said experiment with other veils. It's not a necessity but for me it really completed the look and made me feel like a bride.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I was watching "say yes to the dress" yesterday and one quote really stuck with me
"without a veil you are just a pretty girl in a white dress"
xx
CommentAuthorsALLY
I know Katiep68 I have seen that too and I think that just keeps popping in my head but I don't want to feel a twit too, guess I will just have to try it on the day and go with my gut feeling

Mine was a cathedral length veil and I paid I think was £90. It was 2 years ago but was around that price.

I would suggest trying a few different ones on. When I started dress shopping I was adament that I would NOT be wearing a veil under ANY circumstances... when we were in one shop, however, a family friend suggested trying one on just to see, and I loved it. I think I welled up at the veil more than the dress (although that wasn't the dress I ended up buying!). I am now having a cathedral length veil and I absolutely love it, although there is no way I'll be wearing it over my face walking down the aisle!!

I thought I'd never want one until I tried it on and loved it I felt more like a bride but it's personal choice do that makes you feel comfy xx

Mine was £70 but bear in mind its not just length that you pay for, its also the details like beading or lace that cost extra.
This was kind of what I meant by a birdcage veil that the DTTB girl was wearing.
I have to say I did absolutely love my veil and with my dress really did feel like a princess with it.
Like I said before though, it's not for everyone, I know many people who just don't like them on themselves.

Mine is waist length, lace edged with beading and it cost £55 plus postage. You can design your own on the website I used. If you like I can send you the link on your wall?

I'm having a 72 inch veil which is a change from the long catherdral veil that I originally wanted. I figured that fingertip length was more managebleand I could wear it for the first dance without having to tyr and hold on to it.
It is the only day in my life I will get to wear one so I am xx
CommentAuthorGeorginaD78
You could wear one for your ceremony then take it out for the reception? I want to wear one but I'm not entirely sure why xx
