ER 1: Original ring from my fiancee and would need a straight band
ER 2: Sapphire ring from fiancee's family (old heirloom) and would need a shaped band
I prefer the sapphire as my ER but a straight band from original (majorly OCD!) as I hate the look of shaped rings without the ring there a may want/need days with just my wedding band.
Which combo?!

Your sapphire ring is lovely, I'd go with that with a shaped wedding ring. I know what you mean though, hubby got me an eternity ring for xmas, I picked one out but they never had my size, so we went shopping together, it had to look right, all my rings are straight though so easily matched,

I love my sapphire so much so I think I will end up with a shaped by I can't quite visualize it :/ I think I need to see it when she makes the moulds!!

These are the possible wedding rings - I think I prefer the less pointy one. What do you think? Still not sure about having a shaped :/

I prefer the first one, the rounded one, but they both fit perfectly with your ER!

Thank got I have a small square diamond and dont have to make these decisions for myself lol!
Firstly, as Donna said, as long as you dont wear them separately, its not gunna look odd being shaped. Second, I like the first one!
I do actually know someone who wears her wedding ring on her left hand and her ER on her right hand. If you really dont like the idea of a shaped ring you could always do that and get a straight band? Her husband doesn't actually wear his ring either! They make their own rules lol! There's nothing set in stone saying how you should and shouldn't wear them :) x

This is with an unshaped band which obviously I won't do... Maybe just a single band if I can't get over my OCD stuff? Lol

You're right, unshaped wouldn't do. I personally like number 2 shaped.
Thankfully my ring is designed so that a straight band will fit up against it! x

Like April said, you could always opt for a plain straight band and just wear your ER on another finger :)

I think I'm going to go with your opinions. I just can't decide on WHICH ring.... I love the fit of ring 1 but like the smooth/curvy effect of ring 2 so I'm completely split on it because I think I decide on one but then look at the other picture!

Is there any way she could send you both so you can get a real feel for them to help you make your decision? I know she's your friend, so hopefully she would trust you to return one of them lol! x

Can't you find any shaped band on the same thickness of the ER? Like, your ER is really delicate and gorgeous. But all the bands are getting all the attention because of the thickness (my opinion, of course).

Look up Kate middletons wedding ring, she has a straight band that sits under her engagement ring? Could you have something like that or would it not fit under?

Or if not could you have a fancier band and wear one on the left, one on the right?
Just have the wedding ring put on your left finger in the ceremony and then have whichever on whichever hand you prefer?

Or you could even use the engagement ring as a wedding ring?

The more curved one, not the pointy one, it sits better inside that one.

How about having a straight band but with a bit cut out in the middle so it's about to 'slot' into place around your engagement ring? I don't know if that's even do-able but worth a shot lol x

Yes, I remember Kate's but then my WR would be completely hidden I think like hers and I'd like to see it occasionally ;)
My jeweler has said she can make a wax mould so that it can get a better fit so I think see what comes out of that! x
