Hi, I know I am a long ways off but. H2B best man is getting married next year, she is a nice girl but I know she would not like to be split from her H2B. We are inviting the best man parents all day though.
Anyway I was just wondering should I split them up, have them both on the top table or just both our parents at the top table?
Thanks in advance :)

To be honest it's totally up to you!
We're only having our kids on the top table with us! xx

How big is your top table? As mine only fits 10 people and my parents have both remarried I am only putting parents, step parents and best man (who is single and H2B's brother) on the top table with bridesmaids sitting with their partners near the top table. I thought it would be unfair to ask their partners to sit on their own but couldn't fit everyone at the top x

We had two top tables - one with all the parents, and then us and best man and bridesmaids and their partners.

We are only having our parents on the top table, h2b bestman and my bridesmaid are married so i know they wouldnt want to be spilt so we put them on a table together, we also went to a wedding where it was just my brothers and sil kids were at the top table and it upset my mum so we decided that we are just going to have parents.
We are having our best man and maid of honor with us at the top table, and their other halves. This is mainly because H2B's parents are split up, and trying to solve that kabal with the top table is impossible lol xx

Split them, we split moh and best man from their other halves, and they were fine with it, we just sat the other halves with people they'd know. It's only for a short ammount of time anyways. x
Now Mrs Cobb!!!!!! :-D

Yeah, the two ushers are my brothers but they both have partners, so we're sitting them with other guests - don't want to overcrowd top table anyway otherwise it's just another table! Went to a wedding this summer where the 3 bridesmaids were put on main tables but the two best men were sat up there with their wives, so I think anything goes really!

Does she know anybody else hun? If she does then it wont be so bad if you split them up
Myself and h2b and sticking his BM wife on the top table with us, its because she does not know anybody else and we are really close too as friends, so I thought it will be nice for her.
Years from now, I'll want you years from now, and I'll hold
you years from now as I love you tonight! xx

We're not having any family on the top table, we're just having us, bridesmaids, best man and usher and that's it - their partners will all sit on another table together I think....not quite decided on that part though...
Think you should have who you want - it's your wedding day and I'm sure by that point she'll be a lot better about not sitting with him - it's only for a couple of hours anyway xx

yeah i would say its up to you & anything goes really! i was just at a wedding the other week and my H2B was the 2nd best man, he was meant to be sitting at the top table but then ended up changing it & put him at the table with me as i didnt know anyone which was good as i did fell a bit akward waiting for the wedding to start, i think alot of people thought i was a wedding crasher when i was standing myself waiting for the wedding to start! so i suppose if the girl knows people really well then i would say stick to tradition and split them! xx

thanks for your replies. its mainly family to the wedding except h2b has a close friend and his BM. Both sets of the friends parents are invited so I could just sit her with her in-laws haha. I will speak to H2B when we are closer to the wedding.
