Hi ladies. Courtesy of MrsRobson2B I think I have just found my perfect wedding ring! Now I notice on the website they have a 15% off diamond jewellery offer, which would take this ring from £550 to £467.50 (only £20 or so more expensive than the other one I had my eye on). Now my question is, would it be silly of me to go ahead and buy it now? Considering I still have 17 months to go til the wedding and I'm looking to lose weight?

Although I've put on weight since we got engaged, I still haven't had my engagement ring made bigger (it is tight, it's a struggle to get it off but it doesn't really bother me lol). I would order my wedding ring in the same size as my engagement ring as I am hoping to get back down to the weight I was when we got engaged, if not even lighter than that.

I think I'm just nervous because it is a lot of money to pay out in one go, but it's got to be done at some point right?! It's one of the bigger things we are going to have to pay for so would be a big burden lifted if paid for and got out the way earlier..

Can I have your thoughts please? Xx

I really want to take advantage of the discount so think it's either now (or in the next few weeks) or just lose out on the discount and end up paying more. Obviously I could wait until this time next year and they might have the same discount again, but not sure if I would want to take the risk...?

I say go for it! We have our rings ordered and are picking them up in March. They say if you have knuckly fingers anyway your ring size won't change much and if you're planning on losing weight you should be fine :)

Is there an offer due to it being sale season? You might get the offer in a summer sale or next January.

I don't know IDL, I presume so. But then I'm still going to buy one whether I wait or not. I'm going to go in store tomorrow, try it on and speak to them about it, about possible resizing if needed etc.

If you can afford to pay now then go for it, most reputable jewellers should do a resizing service.

Yeah we have enough saved at the mo to buy it now :) they do offer a resizing service but because there are diamonds going round the band I'm not sure if resizing would alter the claws and so risk losing a diamond.. Will speak to them about it, they will surely know how to advise best :)

I was told after purchasing that there will be a sale on wedding rings in feb or march (cant remember exactly) but they do have offers on regularly so if you cant afford it right now don't rush just because the incentive code is valid now.
Almost every time I have gone onto there site an offer has popped up & I checked alot over the past few months.

It's not being able to afford it that's worrying me, that's not a problem. I guess I'm just worried about needing it resized if I buy it now and end up losing lots of weight. I think I'm just worrying about nothing (as per usual). Hopefully I will have a better idea of what to do after I've spoken to someone tomorrow :) X

I bought my rings in may (11 months before) but I'm not losing weight. Tough decision! Do the store have anything where you could pay for it (or installments) and then order your size later? I don't know if that sounds a bit silly but do you know what I mean? Kind of like sm00ch I think? X

I've ordered it :) I've had my heart set on this style from day one and never been drawn to anything else. I love it :) paid for it in full and saved £80 with the discount code and I've got £20 cash back through a cash back site. I spoke to them and they can adjust it up to 3 sizes either way. I have ordered it one size bigger than my engagement ring which should fit lovely by next year, but if I need it resized slightly then at least I know they can do that no problems. It's nice knowing such a big thing isn't something to worry about anymore.

OH put a deposit down on his ring today too :D

I have put pics of both in my album. I tried mine on with my engagement ring on my little finger as the one they had was way too small for my ring finger ha, but wanted to see them together obviously :)

Thanks ladies :) yeah it's not going to change dramatically and I've ordered it a bit small at the moment so it should fit perfectly by the time we get married. If anything I think I will need to get my engagement resized as my fingers are thinner at the bottom, it's just below my knuckle that they seem to be a bit chubby hehe, so with my ER ring sat higher up I think it would be much too tight!

Spoke to you last night Katie so you know where it's from now :) but for anyone else who'd like to know it's from G0ldsm1ths. MrsRobson2Be has the same one :D x

It's beautiful isn't it, so much prettier in the flesh. The sample in my shop was tiny to, it made me feel like I had big fat sausage fingers lol.
Did they give you any idea of when it will arrive in store? I didn't think to ask at the time & they didn't say anything.

Yeah it's gorgeous, it's exactly what I was looking for :) it's much more delicate in person than it looks in the picture, I was expecting it to be a bit bigger but I love it. I originally fell in love with a very similar one from there which was £200 more expensive but they don't seem to have that one anymore, so it's all worked out for the best really. Thank you so much for putting yours on here otherwise I may not have seen it! I think I had my mind set on ordering one from a supplier in based Hatton Garden which definitely isn't as nice, so I owe you one!! :)

The website says click and collect orders are usually delivered to store in 1-3 working days which seems very quick so I'm not sure if this also applies to rings. I would have thought it would apply more to standard jewellery like necklaces, bracelets and stuff. Although my selection does come up saying "in stock" so maybe it is that quick? When I was speaking to the lady in the store I'm pretty sure she said they could order rings in within 12 days (I think). x

Haha yeah I think I will be the same, will want to just wear it straight away! When you have paid for something though you do just want it to be in your hands rather than waiting on it.

OH's is going to take a lot longer, expected to arrive in store on 24th Feb but from a different store. He could have chosen for it to come quicker but would have had to have paid for the privilege so didn't see the point considering we aren't in any rush lol.

I got a text on NYE to say mine had arrived, but OH's isn't due until the 22nd Jan so as it's a 45 minute drive away we are going to wait for the both of them and do some shopping while we are there too. So frustrating though! I want mine!
