I am getting mixed opinions from people whether I should go for a spray tan before the wedding. My mum doesn't think I should, but my future MIL says yes!! I am going to obviously have a trial, but just wondered how many of you out there were having one and how many weren't.... Just be interested to know! I am a bit worried about going orange and it rubbing off on my dress, but equally I don't want to look pasty in my photos!

I'm not having one. I've probably tanned about twice in my whole life so don't see why I would want to or would need to for our wedding day... they do say you shouldn't change yourself too much for your wedding! You could always have a trial and see how you feel after that, you don't need to make a decision right away.
My biggest fear would be tan transferring onto my dress - I know that probably wouldn't happen, but I'm such a tanning novice!!!

Personally it wasn't even on my mind to have any form of tan. If you normally have one for special occasions then I would go for it. If you don't then I wouldn't bother. You still want to look and feel like yourself on your wedding day and personally, if I had a tan done I would be feeling so self-conscious.

I was considering it also as I am very pale, but I have never had a tan in my entire life so I don't think I am going to bother. Clearly I'm meant to be pale ahahaha x

I've been thinking of it, I'm going to have a try at it this summer or the next so I don't look out of place if it goes wrong :P being very pale I feel like I'll look silly in a white/ivory dress x

I'm not going to. I've only had one once before and it was ok but nothing to rave about. I think because I don't have them it wasn't really me if you know what I mean. Also if you are having one you would need to have a make up trial with the tan on so they can get the right tone for the colour of your skin x

I'm not having one, I'm in the pale white club too! Lol natural all the way

I'm not having a spray fake tan but I'm going to do the one in a moisturiser that you gradually build up. Hopefully I'll also have some spare time before the day for a rest and a sunbathe.

I didn't, I'm naturally pale with red hair, and a tan would just look strange with my colouring. You'll have to see how it looks, it will suit some people better than others.

I've never had a spray tan but a few weeks before, I'm going on the sun beds once or twice a week just to take the whiteness off me.

I thought about a spray tan but decided it's just 'not me' but luckily I got a bit of colour in Benidorm on my hen weekend so I now plan to visit the sunbed once a week until the wedding just to keep my colour rather than get much browner. Will only end up being 4 sessions but will stop my natural tan fading x x

I was thinking about a gradual tinted moisturiser too! I hate fake tan and it's just not me really. My sister reckons I should go for a spray tan, but especially after seeing a bride recently who looked a tad too dark, I'm not too into it..

Im olived skined and would go for the lighter option as it gives me the 'glow' I normally use a gradual lotion which is fab but id want an all over light tan!
CommentAuthorKirstyR386
I didn't bother because it would have looked so fake to be tanned at the start of April. I'm pale too and didn't look weird or pasty at all in the photos. It just looked like me. X

I'm not having one as I don't tan normally so wouldn't do it for my wedding day, I had thought about it right at the beginning but speaking to my beauty therapist she said it will still transfer onto my dress, I don't want to be keeping my arms off the dress all day as that would be impossible and I also don't want stains on pictures xx

I'm going to do same as Steph have the tinted moisturiser so I have a bit more tone to my skin colour as I'm very pale compared to my H2B he only has to have one day in the sun and he has a tan!! I wouldn't have a spray tan as id be worried about it transferring to my dress and I don't want to look patchy on my honeymoon when it starts to ware off x
finally became Mrs B 22nd June 2017!!

Thanks ladies. The jury is in and I'm not going to go for one. I tried my dress on today for the first time and because of the design of it no chest etc is on show just my arms and back, which will be covered with a veil, so am going to go as I am!

Just to be different I am having one, however I have them all the time as I am a natural red head and am very pale. I feel muh better in myself with a tan. I am having it done a few days before the wedding so that it is not just as in your face. xx
