right i have an idea....this may not be acceptable but how about offering one or two as free prizes so that the winners can then give feedback to the other ladies on here? Or do something like a half price deal to say 5 people who "win" a 50% dicsount voucher? That way the lucky ladies who win one free or cheaper can tell us all if it is worth buying?

I like Legobride's box idea. I would definitely want the planner and pen as minimum, the whole box is just too expensive and I normally don't spend vouchers unless they are really good value
CommentAuthorMrsC2bee
The box sounds great and I love the idea of getting one but would u be bale to do a payment plans for those like me who can't afford to pay £50 out in one go but might be able to pay it out over a period of time and then receive it after its all been paid. So 5 payments of £10 or £20 then 2 payments of £15 x
CommentAuthorMrsC2bee
Just read all comments and not sure about postage as I think £50 a lot of money to spend to then have to pay out postage too would you not be able to do free postage? I would defiantly by one if its was no more than £50 ( in total after postage) and I was able to pay instalments as it sounds like a fab bundle and being newly engaged should suit me well, but can't afford that amount in one go :( x

Hi ladies thanks for the feedback.
Sorry we can't do payment plans, or free delivery.
We may be able to do smaller boxes.
Vat and p&p is around £20! So bumps the packs up.
We could produce a much cheaper box, with cheap content, but we only ever produce high quality products and magazines and we would never want bad reviews, ie: just opened the box and its full of cheap c**p.
They're does seem a strong argument between selling smaller boxes for half the price and selling twice as many (to be in the same position or better). But the market research we have done so far (asking newbies when they join if they would be happy to buy a £50 box or a £25 box the percentage was the same. And we would be working twice as hard with fulfilment. We are quite a small company and have no warehouse or packers etc.
If you agree on the contents of the £25 plus p&p box that would be great as an alternative!!!
The "keepsake box", is that actually it in the picture? Cuz it kinda just looks like a cardboard box :S

Boss man! (Hi) does that £25 inc VAT as well because it really should be advertised with this included xxx
Ill marry my hero
CommentAuthorUKBride (Boss Man)
Lilmisschuckles!
If you want to allow £25 in total inc vat and p&m allow for around £12 in vat and p&p... So total £13 in products, we will need to make them, sell them and make some profit (we are a business we hope you appreciate this) x
Nina's list would virtually cost the full price of the advertised box.
For £25 in total we would much closer at...
1 - planner 2 - pen 3 - sixpence 4 - garter 5 - I do magazine (ukbride own mag)

a £25 box seems better as obviously when saving for a wedding all our funds are tied up in other places. the larger box is amazing but i really couldn't justify the cost :(
CommentAuthorMrsC2bee
May I ask why you can't do payment plans? Just I think that would get a lot more sales as people will be better at spending £10/£15 here and there rather than £60 in one go. You could do it so you don't send the goods until it has all been paid. If you would be ale to do that I would pay for the big box as I like the idea of It all except the garter and the balloons as not sure I'd use either ( as dont know what garter it is or the quality of it. I think the voucher are good idea depending on what they offer the customer. And really want the big box but I can't afford that price in one go but would do if it was fortnightly or monthly x

I would be happy with the £25 box if the vouchers were included in it too x

So how about each lady gets to choose what she wants in her box and pays that amount? Like a pick and mix. A bit like online shopping, add what you want then checkout? That way everyone can work to within what they would like to pay and gets what they want? Then you can build up your collection over time. E.g. Buy a few things one month, then get more delivered the next month. That way you can get everything and spread out the cost?

I love the idea of the box but think there is noway I could justify spending £60'ish on one. I wouls be more likely to go for the smaller one or being a poweruser already could you not arrange something for the powerusers to get the large one cheaper without the poweruser option?

I like the idea of cheaper one but do think that maybe a make ur own box maybe better idea as think some things will either apeal to people or they really wont want tehm such as I like the champaige but neither me or OH dont drink it and also I know someone who will come to the wedding will by us glasses it just garanteed dont know any bride/groom that doesnt get them so dont really .
Also the garter I dont need one as making own as surprise for H2B with his football team logo on. x

Are power users not still supposed to get a discount? Is that not what was said when this idea was being created? x

These are on hold at the mo as they aren't cost effective. They would cost more to put together then people are willing to pay

I think i would go for the large box if the box was made up then taken to.post office to find the.correct postage cost then an extra. £1 for thr box its posted in (can go down the local supermarket and get an empty box for free! Or.£land do boxes) and also if the large box was £20 cheaper as im already PU so there be no saving in that respect....
WhT about the shop idea? Is that also on hold?
Find out who you are & do it on purpose!

Personally i think the cost is mouting up and up and up...and it feels like less and less is going into the boxes...what at first seemed like a box jam packed full of items, is now turning into a handfull of items i personally wouldnt want, and then adding vat and then adding postage....getting to feel very pricey for the few items in it.
personally i dont want a pen, i have loads, I dont want a wedding organiser as every single one I have seen is ALWAYS aimed at mixed sex couples hence no good for methe keepsake box DOES look like cardboard from the photo, maybe it isnt i am not sure... not trying to have a go, just trying to give an open opinion.....so not being funny but £25 for a garter, that wont fit me anyway, a sixpence, that i can get for £1.50 on ebay and a magazine seems a lot...
i hope this post comes accross how it is meant, ie not in a nasty way just trying to be honest

Problem is never going to please everyone some brides have bigger budgets than others so some will be happy o pay the full £60. I like the idea of a pick and mix box up to a value of say £30 but the contents would be limited as opposed to the full box.
Live for today
This cat is not in pain.....it's meowing noooo not UKB again
