So I rang the vicar today as haven't heard from him, he has said We don't need to see him till after Easter!! Our wedding is 29th August, and now 3/4 hrs after I phoned him I have realised I still cant do invites as we have a date but no time, this was why I phoned him in the first place!!

Kids being home and not feeling too good, maybe I should of waited before I phoned him :-(

I don't want to bug him and phone him twice in 1 day, can anyone suggest the best solution, should I just send out invites and say times will be confirmed later on or should I just wait!!

My kids are being too noisy to make another phone call today, and after making lots of calls today for jobs and sorting my very minor debts, I am just not in the mood for it all right now.

I'd call back when you get chance and just explain the issue. I'm surprised you didn't book the time when you booked though, that was the first thing my Church warden asked other than what date...

We also called last week about the wedding and he has arranged to meet us on Wednesday

I would just phone him again. There's no point sending invitations out, then sending something else out further down the line.. might as well get it all done and dusted at the same time. I'm sure he won't mind just clarifying the time for you as he should appreciate you need to get your invitations and waiting until after Easter would be a bit late x

I agree, i would call him when you next can, if he doesn't call you first, i would also wait to send invites so they can be finalised and completed, you still have time, i havnt sent mine out yet and mine is in May, we are just waiting on the printers so don't panic xxx

I would definitely finalise the time before sending out invites. He will understand I'm sure. He needs to know the time that he's working around as well.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

We had to finalize what time we wanted when we booked, seems strange that you didn't have to!! As churches hold more than 1 wedding per day.

Well my h2b said we did agree a time when we met the vicar last year, but we didn't actually finalize a date till couple days after, I will give him a ring tomorrow as kids not here, so will be easier.

He actually told me on the phone to worry about my dress and the wedding reception, and that church was the least important bit, I think they all run very differently.

    Thanks guys

My first bridesmaid dress turned up today it is gorgeous, can't wait for 1 of them to try it on tomorrow xx

If I was u I'd suggest a time to him that suits use? We suggested 1pm and he was fine with it. Where did u get bridesmaid dresses? I'm really considering ordering online so intrigued as to where people got them from to see where they are from! Lol

I got this 1 online and it is gorgeous, it is uk based and a well known site, I have ordered my dress from China a week ago so hopefully be here in 6 weeks.

Yeah think I need to just give him a quick ring tomorrow and see what time we can have as we would like it as later possible.
