I thought it was now time to tell you a bit about myself and my planning so far:
To cut a very long story short I had been unlucky in love and never thought I would get married. I had been a carer for my mum (she passed away 10 years ago) and since then have been caring for my dad (he was disabled but also passed away earlier this year). I decided to try mu luck on the internet and hey presto found my prince 3 years ago (after a few conning frogs!!!!). My OH asked my dads permission to marry me at the beginning of the year knowing that it was important to us both and it was obvious that dad was seriously ill. I have now thrown myself into the wedding planning (I suppose to shut out the grief) and so far have completed the following:
Venue, food and drinks package Church Photographer Car Table decorations and all flowers Videographer Have drafted the guest list, order of service, additional information sheet decided on invitations but too early to buy them yet Bridesmaid dress bought honeymoon chosen rings picked but again too early to order Suits picked but again too early to order
Still to do: a few additional decorations i.e. lanterns, post box, wishing tree etc bridesmaid shoes and handbag hen do cake thank you gifts My Bridal outfit
It doesn't look like a lot on paper!! How am I doing ladies? anything obvious I have missed?
Will keep you updated and must put some pics on my profile x

Have also got the table plan to do a lot nearer the time lol but not having place names as assume people can work it out themselves as long as they know what table they are on lol. Thank you also for your kind words trouble is I now have time to think and thats when the tears flow! I am having a photo of them both on a table with my wishing tree and a lantern with the candle from the church x

I just realised how long it is since I last gave an update. Work has been mad with the new intake of students but I have also been busy with house repairs and wedding planning phew!
Here is a bit of an update:
dress, veil, tiara now chosen and ordered Wedding shoes bought although I think I may get a second pair as the first may be too high for all day and evening (any excuse!) Invitations and post box ordered just need to decide on final wording DJ completely organised - asking guests to tell us 1 favourite song each to then make up part of the playlist Bridesmaid handbag sorted after a bit of negotiation Cake organised (Sister in law 2B is making it) decided on favours (donation to Cancer Research)
Still left to sort: grooms outfit etc present for H2B thank you presents chalk boards Thank you sign bridesmaid shoes
There are of course the other bits that we can't do yet like finalise the order of service, give notice, book honeymoon, write invitations and finalise guest list but we have got plenty of time. Can't wait for January then we can say we are getting married next year!!!

Dont forget that you need to give the registrar notice which takes 16 days. And then also getting the license and then certificate and book them to be present at the ceremony for the signing at the end.
