    Hi Ladies,

I am looking for some help I am at such a loss as what to do right now.... I know we have 17 months (give or take) until our big day but I like being super organised because I worry if I am not everything will go wrong lol Ok so I've come to a halt in the planning and I don't know what I can do next, We have booked the church and decided on reception venue which we're yet to book as they haven't got a diary for next year and are slow at replying to my emails about when I can pay deposit... I am going to look at dresses tomorrow even though I am not looking forward to it due to being on a tight budget and so I am not sure if I can afford a dress from a shop :( I have spoken to the car people who I want to use for my day but yet to sort deposit, found flowers but again don't have budget currently to buy now (no budget due to putting off saving! which has now changed) Found bridesmaid dresses but been told not to buy until next year encase any of the bridesmaids change sizing, DJ is being done by a friend........ So what else can I do or is there nothing until nearer the time?

    Sorry for long post lol
    xx

I was just thinking the exact same thing. What about venue decorations, centre pieces etc?
I've got all mine now and just keep adding little bits to it when I see something cheap lol xx

I am leaving centrepieces to h2b as I get too stressed looking haha, not sure on venue decoration as its a social club sports hall (well it will be if my mother in law doesn't get her way and pays for another venue which is sweet but her and my fil2b are not in any financial situation to do it and I don't want them getting in debt for it when they have both been seriously ill)
lol I just keep getting stuck when I try looking for anything haha deco wise we have chair sashes and covers, table runners, my mum bought two helium balloons and I got heart peal scatter gems and that's it haha xx

Personally I wouldn't worry about getting anything else done. You know exactly what you what it's just a case of saving for it now. From when we first booked up to our wedding it will be 14 months, but we booked (well, I!) has pretty much booked or bought 80% of things in about 4 months and I wish I didn't do it all at once! Ive had sooo long to wait to do anything up until now as its finally close and I regret rushing it. Take your time and enjoy the planning together x

Good Idea Flossie lol now to decide what is best cost wise making our own (hubbby2b is a dab hand at cooking lol) or have someone else make it within budget x

Thanks AprilS61 I just worry that I need to do so much right away encase I forget something lol but it will also be why my bm's are not quick to offer advice as in their eyes its ages away lol I just get so excited as we've had a lot of stress and heartache the last few years so having our wedding to plan is my light at the end of a dark tunnel x

We had our venue, registrar and photographer booked about 20 months in advance!

That was followed by booking videographer, magician, cake, venue dressers and finding 'the dress' with about 18 months to go. Since then we've also booked a caricature, booked florist, bought our rings and centre pieces and bought craft items to make invites (which have been sent this week!). There's various other little bits and pieces ive been buying when funds have allowed over the last 12 months, like post box (DIY), photo frames for table names and table seating plan, scatter items and quizzes for the tables, BMs gifts/survival box items and BMs dresses. Ive managed to stretch it out even with having all the 'big things' booked as ive been adding personal touches that have kept me busy in the meantime. Now we only have a few months left I'm picnicking ive forgotten something ha ha!
