    Hello,

I have been searching long and hard for a veil, it is such a tiny element but it really has me stumped!

My dress is backless and has nice lace detailing on the opening so I don't want anything too heavy or fussy that will distract from the back of the dress.

I only plan to wear the veil for about an hour however the going rate seems to be £80+!

I'm not looking for anything super flashy just something basic but not cheap looking! I ordered one off ebay for £7.99 however the fabric wasn't that nice and it looked a bit cheapo.

Perhaps I'm asking for best of both worlds, but for a simple veil (elbow length, one tier and with only a small amount of lace on the edges) I just can't justify spending £80+!

Has anyone had any online veil ordering success? (The bridal shops are all overpriced so I'm not going to even go there)

    Thanks!
    :)

Have you thought about the bay? Sounds like you need a very short one, or just go without.

Do you mean bay of e?

Already tried there but the one I ordered was quite basic and cheap looking so I'm not sure if that's the right place to look. Also, I can't find anything on there at the moment that's quite right.

I want an elbow length one but that's one tier so quite see through. At first I didn't think I wanted a veil but when I tried on my dress the veil made all the difference so I think I will feel a bit bare without one now!

EDIT - NAME CHANGED TO DISGUISE IN LINE WITH FORUM RULES.

Could this be your something borrowed?
Do you have any friends or family who have something that might fit the bill?

Just a long shot but have you done a search for anywhere that might hire veils - not even sure such a place exists

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan
