How are you all coping with stress?
All of a sudden its hit me, my OH has neglected me over the past few months trying to get his stag do sorted and finally got it sorted yesterday- so I thought I would be able to relax a little but I feel worse.
Im getting the panic dreams, like ive forgotten everything and nobody likes the decor etc. I dont feel uptight and angry, I'm feeling really sad and im struggling to cope with the simplest of tasks.
I tried to do a bit of quilting to take my mind off things but I dont think its working as i'm still feeling "sad".

How are you all coping? Is this normal? Is it a phase that will pass? Any advice on how to mellow out a little bit?

TBH I havn't hit that patch yet.
I'm struggling on how we are going to pay for everything but in general I have contingency plans for my contingency plans and am a fairly laid back person anyway.
Mind you i've got that much on at the moment with work being full on, wedding planning, horse on very strict exercise schedule, the making of a 17th Century riding dress, the making of all my decorations and my mum being ill that I havn't got time to stress about things and I keep falling into a dead sleep every evening at about 9pm!

I would say it's a phase. I had one exactly the same about a month before my wedding so I got stuff done that I could, such as building favour boxes and getting them filled and just generally sorting out all the stuff that was just dumped in our spare room. I was fine again after I had a good moan and a sort out xx

I had it recently. I realised how much DIY I had to do and that there isn't many people to help me because of other commitments.
I have decided to work out how much I need to make each week until the wedding and print it off in a chart.
Then each time I do some I mark it off and make sure I have done at least that weeks quota.

Some weeks I do more but so far I have never done less.

I haven't got that much stress at the minute but we haven't been planning long. I did have a moment where I was like I am actually getting married which was then swapped with how the hell am I going to cope with my family. (There are a lot of people who don't speak to each other).

It seems to me like there are "phases" depending on how you do things I had a mini-meltdown when discussing a budget to stick to and also when all my family wanted to stick their oars in and tell me what I should have.

I think the best thing to do would be to take half a day or even a day off if you can, have a detox day of no wedding talk or stress just a normal day when you can relax, take a step away from everything and reset yourself.

We have booked our church and venue for 2018 and decided that is all we need to do for this year (apart from research) everything else can wait until we hit the one year before mark.

    I hope this helps!

i know the feel, we have had a little bit of bad news, job related for H2B, and he refuses to talk to me about anything wedding related until he knows whats happening, feel like my life is on hold at the moment and wish i could just get out of the slum, it's whats been keeping my busy for the last 6 months and now i cant talk about it, very aggravating

I've been pretty chilled, manly because there's not much for me to do.
Organising the party afterwards on the other hand... I could definitely turn into a bridezilla but I won't let myself. Although yes I am getting a bit tetchy as we still don't have final numbers nearly 3 weeks after RSVP date.

Im actually not coping all that well and yours is so much closer than mine. I think its because planningwise im pretty much doing it alone with the help of my mom. So i think its normal but it probably depends on how much you have to deal with and how you usually deal with stress. Maybe take a day away from wedding related things and come back to it. You worrying about forgetting things is so normal. We all feel like that when something means alot to us we just want it to all be perfect. Maybe make a little check list of all the things that need doing and whos responsible for it that way you can check it off and know that its done. If your stressing out about things a bit out of your control like whoevers bringing your ring to the ceremony ect you could maybe have a wedding calander on google and sync it with those who are meant to do something wedding related so they can have a reminder. I hope that helps. In 2 months you will have you perfect day im sure of it x

Hahahaha Stephanie :) We are having a travel theme and thought about getting wristbands with names on (as in all inclusive holiday) but then we'd actually have to wait at the entrance all night for people to come in. I might do favours with names on though that can just be left out. ;p
