I think the bag needs to be breatheable but not sure if there's any chance of staining. Ask what they recommend at the dress shop (unless of course it was a China dress) or try your local dry-cleaners.

You can get them from a dry cleaners..... Mines a breathable cream one, it came with the dress though. But the lady in the store said you need to have a breathable one or it can start to smell a bit like a charity shop if it's stored for a while in a non breather

I was given mine in a light breathable bag and told to store in a cool dry place I think? My dress is in the bag in the spare wardrobe.

I've heard people recommend duvet covers for storing dresses.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I've never heard of using a duvet cover - love idea though as I have one or two that I had been meaning to clear out anyway.

i just dont want it get damaged because its lace, i have read up to put it in an acid ph neutral box and ph neutral tissue paper between each fold as a long term solution, what do you think ladies?

My Mum picks my dress up next Friday and the shop told us that it needs to lay flat and out of the main bag but with the clear plastic bag still on it.
