Our invites are almost ready to go out now, but we'd thought about doing a special one for our parents, because it would look a bit silly sending them an invite that's worded 'Charlotte & David together with their parents'. We're struggling with how to word it though. I've tried looking on g00gl3 but can't find anything.

Has anybody else done this, and if so how did you word it?

You couls give them the same as every1 else so they have something of the day or ask whoevers making you invites to make a special one? Im nt sure how u wud do it tho as on other invites u and your parents r hosting so really an invite is not needed but your mam wud probs like a keepsake :-) i remember my mam saying we dnt need an invite to my sons christening its a given we will be there. Bt then she did say later on oh bt i havnt got 1 to keep lol

So nt rly sure as i think my invites will either be parents of or us and my parents (they have helped and r paying big part of invites so im leavin that choice up to them bt itll probs be us and them)

I think we're just going to give them the same invites as everyone else. We are saying 'together with their parents' also, but I think it would make a lovely keepsake for them x

I don't know. I know mum would feel proud to read her name on my invitation lol I'm planing to put our parents names under our names (under mine, my parents names, under his name, his parents names), so, for my parents, I could replace their name with "Your beloved daughter" or something like this. But, in addition to this, I would give my mum a regular invitation later, so she could keep it :)

Don't know what I would do in case of the "together with their parents"... :/

Was actually thinking of asking the invite lady to take the 'together with their parents' line out on 3 of them and we'll send those to the parents. Much cheaper than having something totally different and it saves trying to sort out wording. At least they'll have something to keep then :o)

Perhaps you could put something like "as our guests of honour, your daughter (name) and her fiancé (name) invite you to their wedding on..."
