Debs...what about a piece of old lace tied around your bouquet? A vintage brooch incorporated into your flowers (get these off ebay if you cannt source them from family members)! If you have a kid....what about a lock of hair or first tooth put into your purse? x

Debenhams do lovely bridal underwear with a tiny blue rose in the middle of the bow that is very discreet but gives you something blue. Hope that helps x

For pure interest, i have a book that explains traditions so...

Something Old represents the bride leaving behind her old life and a link to her family.

Something New is for general good luck in the new marriage

Something Borrowed is to symbolize the brides family and friends being there for her BUT its important that the borrowed item comes from a happily married woman

The Something Blue tradition used to be upheld by sewing blue ribbon into the dress but actually came from the bride wearing blue to symbolize her purity. Now blue is in the Garter...

You asked for ideas so here I go (excluding something new as you have it :D )

Blue, why not buy a teeny tiny blue ribbon and sew it into the seam (inside seam obv) of your dress? no-one else will know its there so wont spoil the look of the dress. Borrow, could you borrow a piece of jewlery from your mum, gran auntie best friend? Or even just borrowing their lipstick is bound to count lol, and Old.. some brides tend to switch their engagement ring to their right hand for the day so that's their old.

sew a blue bow either into your garter or onto the lining of your dress? something old ... bay of e are selling old 6pences for a couple of pounds .... borrow ... jewellery such as pearls from mum or gran?

Personally I like the idea of sewing a bow onto your dress, we lost a very dear family member , and when we christened my oldest son I sewed a black bow into his christening gown as a mark of respect for the absent family member, I shall be doing this with my dress too :)

i have a trinket, which includes all of the things the old, is an old sixpence, the new is the charm itself, the borrowed is a poem which is in a tiny organza bag, and the blue is a blue swavorski crystal attached to it, it can be attached to your flowers or put in a bag or anything its perfect, its small, beautiful and doesnt cost much, i love it x

i would be stuck for something blue, but for the old i am having a locket with my nanas photo in it tied in with my bouquet, i would wear it but it is gold and i only suit white gold, so having it hanging with my bouquet would still mean i have her with me. x
