I'm not sure what to have for the centrepieces. I don't want flowers due to the cost. The restaurant provides use of mirrors, tea lights, goldfish bowls and vases so have been looking for ideas that can be used with these but really can't find anything that I like. My mum wants to get a balloon arch with my colours of blue, silver and white so was thinking of maybe having matching balloons on the table but then don't know if I want something a bit different. So confused!
Was hoping to try and nab ideas off you lot :)

We're on a tight budget, so we're going for tealights in some pretty holders, with silk rose petals in ivory and purple spread around them. Probably, though this might change :P

can you not put a few floating flowers in the vases or fish bowls they wont be that expensive for that. i am making hessian sacks for some herbs or heathers and then having tealights. and on the evening tables filling fishbowls with sweets (colour themed)

We are also on a budget and going for hanging lanterns (10 were £59 off a well known auction site) with tea lights and pinecones (free this time of year- most 'every little helps' store has a pine tree in the car park on a slate tile -£1.62 each from a diy store.

At the moment, I think we are going for bird cages with fake flower garlands weaving in and out of them, with a big battery operated candle in the centre of each one x

Our budget is only small as well, I managed to get some centrepieces from ebay under £10 each, just watch out for postage costs. We're only have 5 tables though so I guess this depends how much you want to spend?

My brother just had single flower heads in goldfish bowls. They were very effective. We made our own centrepieces linked to the theme, and each one was different. We named our tables after musicians and each centrepiece represented the name and well-known pieces by that musician.

We're having ostrich feathers in tall vases but that won't really help with the resources you've got lol

We had tall candelabras, with candles, and pomanders. The same company did our chair covers and sashes, and it was about £270

I think it'll end up being the fishbowls but would like to try and find something different rather than flowers but that's all I can seem to find.
Have seen some Harry potter ideas which I would love! Each table is named a different class and you make up the centrepiece with bits from that class. OH wouldn't have it though

What about some lights inside the bowl. U can get them for about £4 per set. We managed to get 6 sets of lights and they have wicker hearts on for £20. Were putting them on the walls with buntings. But they would look nice in fish bowls.
Or what about the gel balls inside the fishbowls. you could get the gel balls to go with your colour scheme then put one of those battery operated lights in so it lights the gel balls up. I don't think the gel balls cost a lot. I know you can get the battery operated lights for about £1 for 4. Or what about filling the bowls with water and getting some fake petals and having them float on the top .

Ive always loved the idea of actual fish in the fish bowls but now i think what would i do with the fish after lol.

You could put anything in the fish bowls...pebbles, candles, sand and shells, if you have a certain theme planes, cars, buterflys or photos, ....

Floating candles in the goldfish bowls could be a cheap, effective and simple idea?

Do you have an actual theme? If you do, it may help us think of some suggestions?

We are having day and night centrepieces as thinking during the day something like a tree trunk base(whatever they are called lol) with a cage with roses at the bottom of cage and on top different items on different tables depending on what they are called E.G a tardis, a pirate hook which will be from our fave stuff like t.v, film or music.
In the evening those items will be placed on our guestbook table and the cages filled with lights :)

That's the idea for now but whether that changes who knows lol
