rebecca i will work it out and let you know i bought loads at once as i have 5 bouqets , 9 birdcages to fill, 2 corsages and 6 buttonholes.

i think altogether it will come in at about £35 to £40 but it is quite large and i have bought about 10 brooches for it. it will still work out cheaper making my own rather then buying off someone i had a few qoutes for about £45 and that was with me supplying my own brooches. the flowers are quite cheap at £3 ish depening on size and they come in bunches of 6 but as i bought in bulk worked out a little cheaper.

Oh such lovely ideas. I made my bridal garter last weekend while watching tv (hand sewn) which cost no more than £8 from things from bay of e - will post pix this weekend. Will make throw one as well - haven't seen it used at weddings in UK but big in Canada! My brooch bouquet is well underway. Next step stationery but with my current ideas it doesn't look to be cheaper than buying online. will see. I need templates I think.

yeah i didn't think it was to bad especially compared to what i was going to spend on fresh flower £450 altogether so should save well over half that by making them myself and i don't think its going to bad at the minute and i have 16 months to remake them till i get them just right its a lot easier then i thought it was going to be the hardest bit was getting the shape and size i want but thanks to the other brides on here recommending the wire collar its a lot easier with it and cost about £6 with postage x
well I'm not a power user so can't upload photos on to here but I've made my favours (mini pots of jam) and all my place cards. Pics are in my extras album if anyone is bothered. I've also made glass bead napkin rings but haven't photographed them, and my best friend made my invitations for me :o) xxxx
went to a foral wholesaler today and got few things, so i've thrown this together. it's just a first draft (lol) but i love the fake leaves!!
i got some dry oasis and put it in a toilet roll (minus the tissue...obviously). i found it so much easier to get the coverage to be even all the way around. i put small bits of stem in the bottom to make it look like a hand tied bouquet. it needs more stems in the bottom, and the toilet roll is a little bit, but not silly looking
all in all, i'm pleased :)

i need more flowers and i'm not keen on the spider gerbera, but it's given me a good idea of how it can look. i want the normal gerbera style, still in orange and fuschia.
added a few more pics, but the light is bad and iphone camera is pants. looks really good in person though :)

Thank you. No green polkadotted fabric. If I would have sewn a nice puch you could see the polkadots better - but gluing and wrapping was much quicker...

ok I may be a complete numpty but have been playing with my new wire collar and I think I have gone completely mad. Is it supposed to be in a "plate shape" or in a ball shape? I want a nice big round posy shape for my brooch bouquet and thought it had to be ball shaped, now I am confused. Any thoughts? Tips?

mines a bit of both its sort of flat at the bottom i streched it out but pulled it up at the top so its higher a bit like a dome shape. cant really explain i think your best just trying it out and having a play with your flowers till you get it how you want it im actually thinking mines a little big at the minute so going to make it a little smaller x

I've decided im going to make my favours (wine glass charms like a lot of other people on here!). But now I'm stuck. I don't know whether to go for a "thanks" charm or a "made with love" charm. I can't add pics to here but they are on my photos. Any preferences?? x
