Thanks! My cake will be white with aqua buttons though.
I'm quite positive I can make enough buttons and my dad is good at cake making and icing. Plus if we get stuck a friend's mum is a professional and we can go to her easily enough for help! My dad and I are aiming to do a practice tier before the real thing so I can have a go at gluing the buttons on.

They look very well done Lindyhopper! Fimo? I assume the couple is lindy hopping? :-)

Thanks. Yep I covered some tin foil in Fimo (bake-able modelling clay) then shaped them to get the details. My MOH had painted a picture that we used for our invitations of us striking that lindy hopping pose so I used that as my inspiration.

Ah so cute Lindyhopper!
I know Rosie, some very crafty people on here. I can't believe the bouquets. It didn't even cross my mind to get anything other than flowers so the ideas on here have amazed me, brilliant!
Sian Ive had a look through your photos: How about making lace bunting (white/ivory) and then attaching that on a length of satin material to match the colour of your chair sashes etc - I dont think it would look to casual at all.

I've just come across this, as an alternative to bunting. It suits my theme well, so I may have a play...

I am really impressed with those button holes. I really want to show off my stuff but seeing as my SIL2B is on here i dont want to show anything off just yet. I have completed my bridesmaids button bouquets and i am really happy with them and my brooch bouquet is nearly there. Still got all the stationary to do. My cake is going to really similar to yours smarties, my button mould arrived on Monday so yet to try the sugarcrafting, mine is going to be ivory, with scattered ivory & navy buttons.

They are great munchkinpie I wish my h2b would get a bit more creative with wedding he did a bloody art a level so his good at that stuff just won't do the jobs I have asked him to do :(
Snap Sian, my h2b is always on about how he did a-level art but won't help with any of the weddingy stuff :( although I think he is just worried about getting it wrong as I'm so fussy!

Hi girls - just been playing about making up corsages for the ladies - can I have some opinions on the bows on them - black chiffon, blue or none.
The nans and sil2bs have 3 flowers and the mums have 5.

I am also going to make up a box of about 30-40 single stem flowers and put them in a box outside ceremony room with a little collection pot for Alzheimers - purely because I have the petals left after buying them up really cheap and think a lot of our guests will like it as my nana and h2bs grandad both suffered before passing away.

They are sligthly different in shape because I have so much different yarn in my stash and I don't always switch in hook size to adjust - because I am too lazy and I don't care :-)

Aww they are sweet I think the randomness makes them look better
LMB they are so sweet - your crafts always make me smile as they just make me think your wedding is going to be so fun and cheery.
I have used paper for the corsages with buttons in the middle - I had been using brooches/jewellery like my bouquet but I got all in a tizwaz the other evening trying to make one up that h2b told me to stop making things so hard for myself. Another trip to hobbycraft and I got loads of packets of paper petals in clearance bin and made up all the corsages i needed (except ribbon) in about 2 hours.

LMB i LOVE your cupcake garland.....you are so fast making these. how many more you got to make?

CommentAuthorLittleMissBossy
Thank you. They did work up fast because it's a huge stitch and very basic one layered (the bottom) - which is fine for a garland!

Just finished the garland! Please bear in mind that it's late and there's obviously no light - crappy pics. And I have no wall space to hang it up - that is my best lit wall :-)
