I love all these creations ladies. You are all so talented. I'm not nearly as good and only made my invites, favour boxes and blinged our place settings so far...

Here is the place setting i have made.....89 more to go! i made the lot myself (bought the ribbon!) do you recom they look ok?

Seen as most of the bits and bobs for my wedding I'm making myself I thought I'd come and show off a little. I've just finished my shoes, (pics on profile, under Shoes!) I pinched the idea from Annette and I love them. Next up is making my flowergirl dresses and a tiny tiny suit for my daughters toy monkey (she takes him everywhere!)

Papercraft is not my forte and I don't like embellished invites anyway. We purchased this template off Etsy



And printed them ourselves. Worked out really costeffective.

I did decide to attach some RSVP cards and I wish I hadn't - it takes ages to handstamp each letter and I take no joy from paper crafts - I find it plain annoying. Every backside has our address stamped on, e-mail and phone number handwritten. We have also attached a computer print not to give us gifts but money or nothing - it's all put into plain clean white envelopes.

My invitations r my profile picture. I couldn't find any that i liked. So i made them. And they only cost £22 :D x

I love seeing all of the beautiful things people have made, and the praise for my shoes is a great ego boost! I love your button shoes munchkinpie, really original. I think thats what I've loved about making a lot of these things for myself, I get to have truly unique invitations, shoes, bridesmaids dresses and all the rest!

Where has everyone who has made their own invites got their card/bows etc from? I think Im going to have a go at making them, did you get them off the Bay or Hobbycraft something like that?

I've started making my wedding invites and got all my bits from a local craft store. They worked out cheaper than getting them on the web as they are a private little company and not part of a big chain xxx

I have started making my buttons to decorate the cake my dad is making for us. I have had a few practice runs with the sugarpaste and the mold and had no luck whatsoever, but have finally cracked it. These are just the first ones that turned out ok! I need to make about 400 so the worst ones of the bunch - probably these ones! - can go round the back!

They are sugar craft LMB. I did some more today and they were way better. H2b is more impressed with today's lot. I ordered two sample packs in different colours and one was much more pliable than they other. Not sure why but the lighter ones I did today are probably a better match for my colour scheme anyway.

Madhen, I'm a complete novice. It took me ages at first but once I got the hang of it it was easy. I read on websites about using corn flour to dust the mold before you put the sugar paste in and lard is meant to be good too but I couldn't do it. I then watched a youtube tutorial about icing sugar which solved everything! I also read to put them in the fridge but this didn't work when I tried it. It's a bit of trial and error I guess. They're not perfect but I'm getting better and I do need tonnes so I can be choosy at the end!

On Friday when I was panicking that I wouldn't be able to do it, I looked on the bay and buttons made from the same mold I have go for about £3 (plus £2 p&p)for 36 buttons. I've made about 70 today from a 100g pack that cost me a pound. If I buy larger packs it's cheaper so i'm not going to buy them on the bay, i'll keep going! The mold I have has three button sizes but i'm finding the middle one easiest to do at the moment. I do aim to have a mix though.

I also plan to use the same mold to make chocolate buttons, but I tried that on Friday too and got it wrong. I'm not very crafty am I?!

Ha no it's easy really! 'm just not very good and I don't have much patience! After yesterday I couldn't wait to make some more! They keep for months so I can just do some batches every week and whack them away until the cake is ready! I ideally want to do something like this:
