    Hi all,

I was just wondering what people were doing for their centrepieces? I was thinking of maybe using tall martini glasses, but they seem to be so expensive!?

OOh lovely idea! there is a martini glass display at the warehouse I bought my dress from it had hot pink crystal things inside it and I think a little light burried in it somwhere (sounds very dragqueen-esque but it wasnt) I am borrowing fish bowls from a friend who has a pet shop (they wont have had fish in yet) and putting my own tulips al la tesco inside :) and putting that on top of round mirrors which my venue provides.

Im making my own. Having just simple plain vases with silver twigs in them, then fushia pink butterflies attatched to the twigs. My friend is getting married in july and also making her own centre pieces and has rung me a little while ago and said I can use all her vases, so well chuffed with that!

Yeah, I was going to say what Jenniebean said, you can sell a lot of that sort of stuff after the wedding.

I've bought a whole bunch of lanterns and tealight holders in a vintage-y style, so each table will have a different one. And 1,000,009 tealight holders in the shape of baubles - all of this will be on ebay after the wedding!

oooo i didnt know you could get them but i thought about maybe having purple lights somewhere? Our venue has fairy lights covedring the ceiling so I know they will sparkle but putting coloured lights would be amazing! Havent actually made them just waiting for my materials. Bought Clear glass beaded curtains to cut up and still looking for branches but as i work for B&Q got the expanding foam to anchor them in vases which I'm still deciding on hehe. As soon as theyre made ill post pics. For now though I got one similar on my profile.

i like the martini glasses but yea expensive but i am loaning my glasses from morrisons on the condition i buy my wines from them, we have family from away so there will be loads of people at the house so its costing £20 deposit and the insurance is £1.00 per glass if they get broke so no it doesnt have to cost the earth does your morrisons not have the martini glasses, mine has a combination, white wine, red wine, champagen etc.... you pick what you want, othet than that is there not a job lot on e bay you could buy and sell on or a hotel in the area that would loan them for the night

Maybe clay ones are better... although less amusing.
