This is what our cake will be like but Hot Pink Roses on the top instead of red and another hot pink rose on the top side of the bottom tier.
Bottom tier will be victoria sponge, Middle tier- Lemon Drizzle and top tier- salted caramel

We are having 4 tier circle cake, base and 3rd layer will have lace effect to the White icing, the other two tiers will have our colour ribbon around the base.

Tier 1 (base) - chocolate sponge
Tier 2 - Coffee
Tier 3 - vanilla and white chocolate
Tier 4 - traditional fruit cake

And the topper is in my pictures - husband and wife in a tractor with tyres trailing behind (down the cake!)

Vicki I've always been told you need to have the fruit cake on the bottom as its too heavy, unless your having them on four floating boards kind of thing instead of all built on top of each other? X

You can use supporting dowels to have the fruit cake on any tier as I'm going to have it as my middle tier and my cakes sit on top of one another (pic in album) so need the dowels to prevent them sinking as bottom tier will be vanilla sponge and top tier carrot cake I think still cannot decide for certain. x

We are getting out 3 tiers from m&$ and my mil is decorating it for us, we are hoping it will look a bit like this- just with butterfly's instead of stars, and the ribbon will be in lilac as that is my colour scheme.

Oh I've not seen this before! This is my cake, I'm so excited as we were originally only going for a m&s cake! So I love this and the way it matches our colours. It's the same as this with the champagne lustre and lace but with a black ribbon instead of Ivory. Base tier is vanilla sponge with buttercream an jam, middle is chocolate ganache and the top is a lemon sponge, which tastes amazing and I think we will have this layer to ourselves! Lol

Dbx15 my sister isn't doing two cakes but her fiance is obsessed with Marvel so their cake will be based on the half and half marvel wedding cake idea (g00gle it there is loads of photo's of different way people have done this) maybe you could do the same sort of thing, if you have a square cake you could have half of it decorated as an xbox the other half as a traditional wedding cake, or if you went 3 tier you could have the middle tier as the xbox as if it's hiding in the cake you could have the groom figure stood on this tier looking confused with the bride on the top tier holding the controller looking smug? Just an idea, it would be cheaper than two cakes x

we're just having a cake for pics and cutting - we're getting the cakes for the reception seperate.
But i like the idea of the 'melting colours down the side of the cake. 3tier 4/6/8 inch in purple turquoise and silver. 3 roses on the top tier that appear to melt down the sides of the tier.

i am struggling someone to make it tho in the tw16 area :(

My friend and get mum is making mine for free :D

It's 4 tier cake, Two of them will have a lace effect around the icing, and the other two will have purple ribbon around them with wheat tied to it. We also have a lovely cute topper of husband and wife sat in a tractor with tyres trailing down the cake!

Bottom layer will be chocolate sponge
2nd layer will be vanilla and white chocolate sponge
3rd layer will be coffee sponge
4th layer will be lemon sponge
