I'm just about to go wedding dress shopping for the first time eeeeekkkkkkk!!!! Can't wait, although think it will take a while to find 'the dress' But I have fallen in love with a vintage accent headpiece. My issue is do I buy it now ( its from America so going to take a while to get here) or should I wait til I have chosen a dress before buying the headpiece?

I would wait to see what dress you get first. You might get a dress that doesnt match the headpiece or decide you dont want one at all. Bookmark the page its on just incase :) x

I'd wait. I thought I wanted a veil with lace on the edges but ended up with one that's plain doing and scattered sparkles because that's what my dress wanted :)

Can I add something to this question? I found a really nice pair of earrings, that would go looooovely with the dress i want (ok, I haven't tried it on yet, but I am almost sure about it lol). Found them on N3w l00k and it's perfect for my budget. Do you think it would last 2 years (without wearing them)? I don't want to look for it later and don't find them :( And since they are really cheap, I was thinking about giving a try, but still unsure...
    any help?

I'd get dress first then decide what matches it.

Says the one who bought her shoes before trying on a single dress lol but my argument was its under the dress so no one sees them, luckily for me it worked out perfectly, the shoes matched the dress perfectly.

Do you think the earrings would be ok for 2 years? It's reeeeally cheap (5 pounds) and even if it doesn't match the dress, I would keep them lol

Think earrings are fine as you tend to find they can be matched with something else.
But think headpiece is a bit soon:)

I'd wait as you may fall in love with a dress that will not go with it, however saying that, I personally think that you will have that headpiece in you heart and will most likely verge towards the dresses that it will match.

Thanks ladies, I know deep down I should wait, luckily I'm going wedding dress shopping this sat so fx I find the style or even better the dress and will know for sure. :) glitter fairy it think your fit, I already find myself looking at dresses thinking will they go with the headpiece lol. And I bought my shoes 2 years ago hehe fell in love with them and got them for a bargain so couldn't resist :)

CamilaL as long as you out the earrings in a tissue paper in a box and block out oxygen they should last the two years without going funny colour.

I had a idea in my head of what headpiece I wanted and couldn't see it online or anywhere then I walked into my local bridal shop and bam! exactly what I was looking for and I knew I wouldn't find something like this anywhere else and even though she said she would make me one at later date if wanted, I knew I wanted this one .. so bought it and I have just finished adding some bits to it and I love it.. so glad I got it... I chose my dress a few weeks later , but to be honest my headpiece would pretty much go with any dress ! I would say depends on the headpiece.. exciting times, enjoy dress hunting, I loved it :)

Its a side headpiece with lots of diamanté and sparkle :) I think I just want it now coz of knowing its going to take so long to get here and the hassle of finding a seller. I'm super excited about dress hunting just want Saturday to hurry up now :) x
