Hi I know my wedding is a long time away yet but I've already bought my dress. When I first tried it on the zip wouldn't go all the way up to the top after losing 2 stone so we decided I'd have a lace up back instead as always loved the style. I have now lost just over 3.5 stone and I am now dying to know wether the zip will go up. The man at the bridal shop said I could go and try it on whenever I wanted. Should I try it on again?

Definitely! If they said go whenever then go! I'd love my shop to say that to me haha x
:-) I've text the man at the shop to go at the end of the month when kids are off so my two little sisters that are bridesmaids can see it. He's not answered yet though x

I would try it on again. You will know where you stand with it, and if you need to lose more, it will boost you on to do it I think (it has for me)

I want to lose another 6.5lbs and that will take my to 4 stone loss and the slimmest I've been. Anything more on that will be a bonus :) I'll be so happy if the zip goes up

yes try it .... your perception of the dress might have changed now as to whether you want the zip or lace up #
So exciting! I'm going to phone and see if I can try mine on again after the holidays! I'm desperate to try a 126" veil x

The veil I tried on last time was shoulder length but didn't really look at it last time so will behaving a proper look weds. I've lost 1.5 stone since I tried it on last time (end of jan) and the zip wouldn't go up to the top so fingers crossedit does this time :D x

Oh well done! I bet the zip goes up no problem now.
Last time I tried my dress on I was too busy running about choosing BMs dresses! I wasnt really paying attention to what was on my head ha! Veils is my big thing I'm going for though:) I've tried a short one and fingertip length. I liked the fingertip as it was longer, but since I've seen a picture of Jamie Lynn Spears' veil I fell in love with 126" and need to try one! GooglE it, it's beautiful, and I don't really like lace much! X

Wow that's long but looks lovely. I've gone for the shorter one as my dress has diamonds on the back so will be nice that people can see it. When you get to try one you'll have to post a pic :) x

I'd definitely try it again! Bet it'll fit fine now.
I had the opposite problem in that I gained a little weight before the wedding (although it may have been muscle gain), so I panicked about the dress not fitting so tried it again, thankfully it was still perfect.

Def try it on again, I'm going to try mine on again soon, my bridesmaids can never seem to make it at the same time so I seem to be forever going back with them! Make the most of it, I would :) Good luck!

Well I'm f***ed off! Went to try dress on again which was booked 2 weeks ago, went with mum and 3 sisters who are bridesmaids. Got to the shop and told the lady I'd come to try my dress on...can't find it phoned the bloke who owns the shop and who I booked the appointment with and he says he's had to take his granddaughter to hospital and the lady told us he's had to go to court (hmm 2 different stories) I've lost weight since I lady went so was really excited to try it on with my shoes. My sister is a hairdresser so she's lost out on money for coming to see it. He said can you wait half an hour-erm no my sister is meant to be at work and I've got a baby that needs feeding so no I can't wait. I'm now thinking what about when the time comes to getting fitted for my dress is he going to forget/make other plans. What do you think I should do :( so mad x
