Back in November just after we booked our venue and before I had my dress, I bought these gorgeous shoes. I got them because I had been looking at them for a while and knew they were the ones I loved.

Then I bought my dress and as some of you will know as it is very white, the shoes looked more of a champagne colour when I tried them on with it. So this means I need to get them dyed white, which is going to cost just over £25, which is more than what I paid for them as I got them in the sale!

So, I was out shopping with OH last week I found my DREAM wedding shoes! I have always wanted sparkly wedding shoes and I fell in love with these as soon as I saw them. After trying them on and with a little push from OH I bought them. Luckily I had a voucher left over from my birthday so only had to pay £15 for them!

    These are the beauties!

In the shop I thought I would just sell the others and wear the new ones, then I went home and fell in love with the others again!

My dilemma is that the original ones are more 'bridal' but the new ones are gorgeous and the shoes I've always wanted!

OH has suggested I wear the original ones for the ceremony and the new ones for the recpetion but not sure I want to pay to have them dyed to wear them for 20 minutes. Plus I would then have to go and change my shoes!

    Helpppppp xx

I love both pairs and just looking at them now I probably prefer your original ones, BUT I can see your new pair going really well with your dress! xx

Emma I love both and I agree the first pair are more bridal, but if the second ones are what you've always wanted then wear them to your big day, its what you want the most that matters. I personally would go for the first pair but both are lovely xx

I dont think it matters if they 'look bridal' or not, if you like them, wear them :)

I'm planning on wearing purple sparkly shoes - not bridal at all, but definitely more me!

Maybe try them both on with the dress and see which ones u feel better in, I love the sparkly ones and last thing u want is wearing ones that you don't feel match and feeling self conscious about them and wanting to cover them the whole time. Least with the glitter ones ur be able to sparkle and not worry :)

Am I right in thinking you're being MOH for your MOH? Could you wear the original shoes for that? xx

Yeah I think I will have another try of them with my dress so I can see properly. Another thing is if the dye doesn't take as well as I am expecting and they still aren't as white as I need them to be!

I am yeah so yeah I possibly could do, I think no matter what colour dresses she chooses they would match. Are they not more bride than bridesmaid though? x

I think they're both bridal and bridesmaid-y! I've worn shoes like that as a bridesmaid before. Just thinking it could be a good way to get use out of both of them xx

It is a good idea! She has pushed her wedding back but they shouldn't go out of fashion so I'm sure they would be fine for whenever it is! I am edging more and more towards the new shoes! x

They are both lovely, you need to take both along with you and try each on with the dress to see if either goes.

Why do you need to dye them white?

Mine were nude with sparkles, wedding shoes don't have to be white to look good x go with your heart

They're both gorgeous! I love shoes though! Can you try your dress on with both and then decide which you prefer?

From your posts it does sound like you love the second pair more but maybe that's just me reading into it too much.

I'd go with your dream pair and also whichever is most comfortable x

The sparkly pair are slightly higher than the others and I am not used to wearing heels but they are both really comfy! Obviously I haven't tried the new ones on as much as I haven't had them long but I do think they will be comfy. I think I do need to try them both on with my dress I just hope that helps me to make a decision!

It may sound strange but try wearing one of each pair at the same time with your dress you will be able to tell which you want to wear the most
