I am getting married mid September 2020 and not sure what to do. The venue only has August 2021 dates available which is ages away. What are September brides doing? We have around 120 guests and a few oversea guests.

Hi I am also getting married in September I am just sitting tight until we have a definite no we cannot go ahead. It's just not knowing that's stressing me out but we are prepared for the worse. X

Me too, with a similar amount of guests and some overseas. I keep flitting between planning as usual and feeling all will be okay to thinking negatively and worrying. It’s such a difficult time, we should be so excited now! It’s not helped by the guests asking if I know if the wedding is going ahead.

Mine is in October... I’m also starting to worry/ stress about it all. I’m holding out a few more weeks to see if they say anything about events going ahead! I Just want a yes or a no :(. The fun is gone. I don’t want to have to wait a whole year !

Yes I think that's what I am going to do, I am very lucky that my venue has allowed me to reserve an April 2021 date until July, so going to wait a few more weeks and make the decision. I have pretty much sorted everything already but even if it did take place, would be missing out of the "fun" lead up to the wedding.

I am increasingly started to think that if we can get married in September, I should, because there could quite possible be a second wave in the winter, which then throws off spring weddings in 2021 or even early summer.....Who knows ahhh!!!

At least when we all do get married, everything will be put into perspective and we won't stress about the small details, instead just be happy our loved ones are their fit and healthy!

    xx

My wedding is booked for September too. Tried to contact my venue to see what options we have but the wedding team have been furloughed so just got a very unsympathetic reply from the receptionist saying that they're sorting July weddings and we just have to wait.
I appreciate it's a stressful time for all of us and that they don't know anymore than we do, but a bit of reassurance that they are there for us would've been nice :(
