Hi ladies, there are lots of wedding insurers that will cover you even after deposits are paid, Debenhams and John Lewis both do and lots of the others too

    Hi Ladies

How are you all? It looks like all of your planning is coming along nicely!

I've not been on for a while but have sorted out a couple more things for the wedding. I lost my engagement ring in January (It was loose on me because I'd lost a little bit of weight - I was absolutely devastated) so my lovely H2B took me shopping to replace it and we decided on a bridal set so that both my engagement and wedding rings fitted together perfectly. We also ordered our invitations, save the dates and rsvp cards. Next thing on the list is to go through our photography quotes.
    xx

Hi Ocean, I was absolutely devastated! I felt sick when I realised. H2B was excellent about it and done all he could to make me feel better. Lucky for me he offered to take me shopping for a new one that weekend. And, on a positive note, at least I can tick the wedding ring off the list now :) And my new engagement ring fits perfectly (even though I keep checking it's still on!)

Trying to make an appointment for over Easter week in another bridal shop to keep my options open. Everyone keeps saying its very soon to be booking stuff but I'd rather book it now than maybe wait & misout on something I wanted. Oh & just found out my preferred beautician is getting married the same day as me so that's her ruled out for make up! Lol

Yeah my sister got married in 2011 so I asked her what all her stuff cost to give me a rough idea on cost but as you said Kelbel definitely would rather have a grand total to save towards rather than having different costs being added all the time. I got an appointment sorted for 11am on easter tues so I'll definitely know what style of dress I want by then (I hope). Where ever I get my dress out of I'll prob get my bm dresses there too. Are you buying you're bm dresses or getting the bm's to pay for their own?

Im buying the BM dresses, but im getting them high street dresses or hiring, im not spending a fortune. I'll prob get their shoes as well they are all happy enough to sort out their own hair and make up lol and they can do what they want with it as long as it's more of a natural look, which tbf, that's what they'd go for anyway.

Morning Girls, hope you are all feeling well. That was my thoughts exactly get as much as I can sorted earlier then I know what it all will cost and probably stop me from stressing as much... My BM dresses are £200 each and the FG is £147.50 and I have 5 bridesmaids and 1 flowergirl... I don't think I'll purchase a dress when my mums comes up unless I know that's the one, but I would like to sort it out sooner rather than later....

Another question for you girl has we are getting married abroad, we are not having a sit down meal we are having a Greek BBQ, the question is do I still do a seating plan or do I let my guests sit where they like, as a BBQ seems to be less formal and we are having Greek dancing too, followed by a DJ?

    Any advice girls? xx

I have 4 adult bridesmaids which are h2b's two sisters and two of my friends and I have my 3 daughters as my flowergirls, the bridesmaids will be paying for their own, we're gonna try styles on and then I'm gonna buy a similar one off the Internet which'll make it cheaper for them, I'm buying their accessories and paying for their hair so this is how we compromised, trying to at least get the dresses for under £100 each... The flower girl dresses I've seen in bhs are £31 at the moment so really tempted to buy them now going by their sizes they're in now but obv for next year and then putting them away! My daughters will be 8,5 and almost 4 when I get married ... The older two I can get away with a age 8,5 and the littlest one a age 3 as she's 2 now but only in 12-18 clothes x

Beccy I'd say let it be informal, then ppl can just sit wherever, if u want a seating plan then do one xx

As I am getting married abroad we only though it was fair that we would pay for the dresses and accessories etc as they will need to pay for there flights and accommodation also the spending money for the week or 2.

Am not 100% sure what to do, am for and against both ideas, think I need to make a list of pros and cons for each xx

    Hey girls,

In need of a little advice... A few years ago I had to have a hip operation, anyways cutting a long story short because of a re-call on metal on metal hips I needed to go for an MRI Scan to check the metal content in my body, however yesterday I had a phone call from the doctor to tell me whilst looking for the problems related to my hip they have found a large cyst in my pelvic area and this now making me panic and worrying like crazy. My h2b says we need to carry on planning the wedding as normal and we have taken out wedding insurance but I am not 100% sure what to do... It could be perfectly harmless, but do I take the risk in continuing to plan the wedding and possibly have to lose money? Tbh the wedding planning is taking my mind off things.

    Thanks Beccy xx
