    Hi ladies.
Im just starting out planning our day. Im looking around for save the date cards and, as we are on a budget, was wondering would you send save the dates to all guests or just to those invited to the ceremony? We get married on a bank holiday weekend and my h2b thinks people might make plans before the invitations get sent out.
    Thanks in advance

I am sending save the date cards out, if u search 'save the date cards', a well knowern website will come up and they have a sale ATM. They are going very cheap. Or u could make them your self if u are a arty type of person. X

I'd be tempted to just send them to the daytime guests as they're more the main ones x

We're not doing save the dates as most people already know the date anyway.. We feel it would just be a waste of money for us, so we will just send the invitations out a little bit earlier instead. If you are getting married on a Bank Holiday weekend it would be a good idea to send save the dates out just to make sure no one books any holidays etc. I know some people send 'save the evening' cards to the evening guests, that way there is no confusion about whether they are invited to the day or evening.

Have you looked on 3tsy.com? I got cards for my bridesmaids from there and have my eye on soo much other stuff! xx

We didn't do save the dates, but we sent out invitations nine months before. We'd also told the key people (immediate families and people taking part for example) as soon as we'd booked the date,

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

we did save the dates - pics in my album - and send them ages ago. we sent them to the people we wanted at the wedding. For the immediate bridal party we also gave them the ref no, to quote to get a room booked at the hotel at a reduced price.

They were lovely! There was just enough for the day do. For the evening guests we are giving out fridge magnets :)
