Hi Ladies; I was looking for a remembrance poem to put in my frame (which has photos of those who aren't with us) but couldn't really find any I liked. What do people think of this one?
The day we say “I do”
Today’s the day When two become one We say “I do” To be forever one Yet there are those who Are sadly absent We miss them of course But do not shed a sad tear A happy one is much preferred For they may be gone from this world But not from our hearts So we say “I do” in front Of those present and those absent For we know they are here with us in spirit To celebrate this special day.

on this day we join together some people absent but in hearts forever no tears to fall but smiles abound as they know the happiness we have found so raise a glass and remember those missed dont drink to much they dont like you p********
all our guests are here today some in person or in another way we feel our hearts are full of love from faces on earth or spirits above so smiles are now are the order of they day as we look upwards and we say we know you are here on our special day glasses are raised both here and above as we think of everyone with fondness and love

I'd like to do something like this, I miss my Mum terribly and planning our wedding it really hits home even more. Can't imagine the day without her so I will have a picture of her on my bouquet and also a larger one at the reception. I think its a lovely idea and your poem is great MrsMalin2b and I also really like Lala's - you've both given me some ideas :-) x
