Hi ladies, I'm trying to work out my timings but just can't settle on when to have what!
Our wedding is an evening wedding so we get married at 4.30pm then have to travel to our reception venue, we are thinking that once the ceremony and photos are done guests should be arriving at the venue at around 5.30/6pm with the evening guests joining from 7pm. These are the timings I have at the moment:
I feel like the first dance might be too late and should we have the speeches before the food? What timings do you ladies have? Help would be great!

Got engaged on 25th December 2013

Your first dance is definitely not too late. We will be cutting the cake and having our first dance at the exact same time as you, and those timings were as advised by our venue.
I would be tempted to say allow more time for photos... unless you will be continuing photos into the welcome drinks?
I think speeches would be nice after everyone has had a chance to have something to eat :-) plus if any evening guests are running late, at least they won't miss them if you want your evening guests to hear them too.

We are having family and wedding party photos at the registry office straight after the ceremony then me and OH are going off to the beach (next to our reception venue) for photos just us, but yeah the timing for welcome drinks hasn't been told to guests it's just when the venue will have them ready by :)

Those timings look perfect and very similar to my own, although my vnue has said they want the guests to eat sooner... but I feel like 7:30 is a perfect time. x
