Hi, I am very new to this whole wedding planning thing and have only been looking at venues online so far. I have found a venue that seems perfect (*****8@tt13 @bb3y 5ch001), and on the website they say this:

"The cost to hold a Wedding Reception or Ceremony and Reception at ******8@tt13 @bb3y 5ch001 is £4,000 and will include exclusive use of the Abbot’s Hall, Duke’s Library and Refectory and outdoor space. Beyond this pricing for drinks and food will depend entirely on your choices. If there’s something you particularly want just ask, we will work with you until we have a price and offering your happy with."

I know it's a very vague question and will depend on a number of things, but I was hoping someone may be able to give me a rough idea of how much costing for food (sit down meal with 50 people) could potentially cost on top of this.

We will be booking in viewings this Autumn but I was hoping to just get a rough idea before this!

Its hard to say as it varies from venue to venue and different areas.

I would email them asking for an example package that they do. that should give you a rough idea x

Like Emily says it can vary from each venue, some places can be £30 per head for a meal and some can be £60, each venue will offer different menus and different options so you really need to contact them to find out what they offer xx

Email and ask for the menu packages they do and go from there. We paid £35 a head almost three years ago.

As other have said it will vary venue to venue and also depends one what you're looking for. For eg my sister had a 3 course meal with no table wine. We're having a carvery style buffet with table wine and cider. You're best to get a quote from the venue.

just email and ask for their different packages, it could be absolutely anything from say £30 to over £100 for all we know so couldnt estimate.

the reason they wont put prices is as victoria has said, there will be so many different options, that when i asked for the prices from my own venue, it was like a small novel for all the different things you could have.

they will send you a PDF there is no obligation to move on from that if you don't want to, i had a few from different venues and all but the one we chose (obviously) received an email thanking them for the information

We paid approximately £30 a head for a hot buffet at ours
