Firstly I budgeted £150 for myself for the wedding day and trials for both but clearly that is too low...

Anyway I have had a few quotes and I want to know if you ladies think they are reasonable or not? I'm only include people who do both at the moment as I don't really want separate companies...

    Company one -

Total for me and Bridesmaids for hair and make up : £440 (including trials for me/them)
Without trials (for the bridesmaids) and just hair for Bms: £290

    Company two -

Total for me and Bridesmaids for hair and make up : £470 (including trial)
Without trials (for the bridesmaids) and just hair for Bms: £260

Do these sound reasonable? The first one does have many photos though and when you click on 'portfolio' it is blank; only has the main website images. The second company does have a lot of photos in their portfolio.

There is £30 different between them either way.

Also could anyone recommend anyone in Coventry or close by? Please pop links on my wall :)

The prices sound about right, well compared to what I paid for my wedding last year anyway although I had someone who is very well established and in very high demand.

I'm going to my local salon at top of my street which has a beauty/make up lady upstairs, my make up is 55 inc trial, my hairs is 33 with a trial (its only a pin up) i have 3 adult bm's at 25 each for make up and 18 each for hair, then 2 kids at 15 each for hair. The salon did say they dont bump the price when its "wedding" related, a pin up is just a pin up what ever its for. So mines about £250 total (but im having weekend lashes which are an extra £30)

I was quoted from one place not much change from what you have. However I have managed to find somebody who doesn't believe in charging extra because the word wedding is in front when in reality it rakes her same amount of time for wedding as party hair. She's charging 10pounds for a trial, free if I have my hair coloured etc with her (she's 25quid cheaper than my previous hairdresser for that too) and dependent on complexity 15to20pounds on the day, little bridesmaids 10for simply curling and adult bridesmaid 15 for curling haven't got trial prices for there's but tbh even if it was same price that's fine. Allinall she's charging me same price for 4children mother of bride adult bridesmaid and me as one charged for just doing it on day no trial. So it might be worth ringing a local off the track one they are just as good just not as flashy and you might save a packet. Pity this is the wrong side of the midlands for you!

ive booked make up for me, 6 bridesmaids and my mum for £290 which includes trial for me and mum only my MOH is paying for the hair doing and she won't tell me how much so I can't really comment on that but makeup for 8 people including 2 trials for less than 300 i think is really good i think what you have been quoted just for the three of you is ridiculous xx

i've paid £50 for the bridesmaids hair (I have two bridesmaids and that includes a trial) ! Luckily my hair isn't costing em anything as my MOH is doing it (I don't trust anyone else to do my hair exactly how I want it). I am also doing my own make up as I'm a bit fussy! x

I'm paying £350 for hair and make-up Inc a trial, and my mum's is costing £150 for hair and make-up on the day; we're not paying for our bridesmaids as a) they'd rather do their own and b) we're spending a lot on them as it is (about £350 each on average for dress, flowers, and gift).

So, what you've been quoted sounds reasonable to me :-)
