Sorry this is going to be a long one :

So I chose my photographer because I had worked along side him doing photo shoots and I considered his work to be really good and top end stuff and for him to be a friend.

When we agreed to have him he gave us a small fraction off the price but we had no written contract of what we were getting for this price only a verbal agreement.

We went over to his several times and sat down and told him what we wanted and what shots we wanted on the day.
Wedding day ran well didn't even notice him or his assistant were there during the ceremony and after they sorted out all the guests grabbing everyone for the shots they needed.

Its only since the wedding that its all gone wrong!

The communication has been shocking! I asked numerous times for him to give me a price for individual prints for family remembers! I emailed / text / Rang said he'd look into it and ring me back that never happened. It took just over a month to finally get prices!

Said he would put all the photos he took on to a disk for us to take away and choose the 60 we wanted for our album..... When photos were ready he wanted us to drive over and pick them up from him. Also said he would do sheets with thumbnails of all the photos so we could choose this never happened and I had to go through a 50min slide show and copy and paste them onto word.

So we finally got our edited copies mid Nov. I went over to collect disk and saw a mock up of album and I said I was happy for it to be sent off.

I hadnt really looked through them properly as unfortunately my gran passed away, then there was a big family fall out & I became poorly so was off work for a few week so I had been a little pre-occupied.

So its only lately ive really looked through them properly and the more I look at them the more I just don't think theyre anything special at all! Even a family member pointed out signs and objects that hadn't been airbrushed out of photos even though this had been agreed!!
most look like just normal snaps youd take on a digital camera but with logos slapped on theres only about 3 that have clearly been touched up. Photos that my family took and edited look a lot more professional!
Hes just done another wedding and the photos from that look like what id call wedding photos all have been edited and touched up and looked brillant.
I messaged him to ask if the actual photos in the album had these items airbrushed out AS AGREED and his reply was album was as we saw it when I went over and I said I was happy so its been sent off.

So I know it was my own fault that I should of looked properly and not rushed the visit BUT also annoyed that HE had said oh don't worry non of these items will be in the photos ill airbrush them out and he didn't! And that we had paid out £900 odd for them too its not like he was cheap!! Im kicking myself now I wish I had looked properly and had said I wasn't happy. :(

I know its my own fault but I just needed to rant and get it all out as its been going over and over in my head :( xx

I guess if I had to look on the positive side all my family took 100's of photos and we have got so many lovely shots!!

My aunt made us a album of all her photos which is lovely but I might get one printed up with everyone's photos in.

Can't use the ones the photographer gave me as their for book of face only and are low quality and res images. I'm not ordering copies though as they're like £10 each and I just don't think they're worth that at all.
