    You're probably all going to say im weird but i need help.
    I'm doing my wedding website and need something for the gift page. We're not having a gift list, we've been together for ages so don't need anything. I've seen loads of poems but they all ask for cash instead of presents :(
    Does anyone not just want their friends and family there? I don't want presents or cash, seriously I just want people to come and have a good time. I've been looking for a way to say this nicely because I know some people will want to give us something, but i'd rather they spent the money on themselves. Being invited to a wedding isn't cheap with the new outfit, drinks, accomadation, taxis.
    Can anyone help with wording or a little poem?

    Im not doing a pre-printed poem as I dont particuarly like them.

    We're going with something like.....

    After 13 years together we are finally tying the knot. During our time together we have acquired many things. However, the greatest of these have been each others friends and family. We want our wedding day to be spent with those people that matter the most, the ones who have continued to support and love us, and pick us up when we needed it most. All that matters is having you there to share our day with us, so please dont feel obliged to get us a gift. Your blessings and presence are all that we ask for.

    It wont be quite worded this way but you get the idea lol!

    we are putting a note in with the invitations saying - " we dont have a list for presents. as all we would like on the day is your presence " or something similar. I would like to ask for contributions towards our honeymoon but think asking for money is too cheeky.

    if you tyoe it into gqqgl3 about presnce not presents poems, there are quite a few to be found and you could you use those as a starting point.

    You're invited to our wedding, When we both say 'I Do'
    And as you know We've been together many years,
    and have a lovely home,
    There's not that many items we dont already own
    So if your thoughts were on a gift, your prescence will suffice;
    But if you really feel the need, donations to a honeymoon,
    would be really nice!
    The choice is really up to you and we'd just like to say;
    That most of all, we hope you come, enjoy yourselves,
    and have a lovely day!

    We had an invite to our friends wedding and this is what they've put inside

    The most important gift to us is for you to share our day with us.
    But should you wish to contribute in some other way
    By sending us to our chosen getaway
    Would almost certainly make us say wahey!

    Thanks girls, I tried online search but they all came up with ones that had bits at the end asking for money instead, for honeymoon, for house etc. I know lots of people have them but I hate receiving them so would never give one out. I've been sent this,

    We do not wish for Presents,
    We hope you do not mind,
    We haven't got a gift list,
    There's nothing we could find,
    Your Presence at our wedding,
    Will give our day a lift,
    Your company is priceless,
    We accept it as our gift,
    We'd love your well wishes,
    And congratulations too,
    No gifts are necessary,
    We just would like to see you!

    What do you think?
