Well everyone had a heart to heart with OH last night and we both came to the agreement that were postponing the wedding for a year, we're too stressed with having to move house and OH is terribly shy and doesn't want the wedding I was planning so we are going to go on holiday instead we book it last night and feel like a massive weight has been lifted! We're going to get married next year in august abroad with only our parents and siblings They'll have plenty of notice to save up to come too Feel so much better and this will be our first family holiday abroad :D Xx

I'm sorry you've had to postpone :( moving alone is stressful enough without throwing wedding planning in there too. At least now you can start planning the wedding you both want, and in the sunshine - jealous!
Can you get your money back for the things you've already paid for? Xx

We've only paid £300 in deposits so it's not too bad to be honest, I'll keep my dress for the time being if I change my mind on it I'll get another n I can take one of my bms dresses back to the shop n keep my sisters as she'll be coming lol Keep OHs ring Just the matter of ringing and cancelling everything now Will start to look at places to go and get married after the holiday :D Xx

That's not too bad then, as least it's not thousands!
You could even ask the reception when you get on holiday if they do weddings ;) where abouts are you going? Xx

Sounds like you've done the right thing hun
A wedding abroad sounds gorgeous, we did consider it as well, but gave into the pressures of having more people there.

Feel even worse today! Had a look at weddings abroad and there's not a chance we can afford that and my mum definitely can't afford for her and my siblings either Humph! Too late now x
CommentAuthorLauraF89
Weddings abroad are significantly more expensive than uk wedding unless you pay for yourselves and let others pay for themselves. Can you not have a week away somewhere and wed with just parents then have a big party when you get back?

Nope because they can't afford to come And OH doesn't want a party that's one of the main reasons we're postponing xx
