I've been reading some posts and can see that lots of people are getting the blues after the wedding is over. I hope I'm not like this. Having planned and save for my wedding for two years and then its all over in a day, gutting. Anyone else think they may feel like this after?

Set yourself a project or goal to work towards. Also plan romantic times with the husband. Even if it is breakfast in bed at the weekend or something.

I think I may be like this, especially with such a big build up and wait. I'll get thinking on the thing to look forward to afterwards..

I will def get the blues, I'm sure of it. It's been such a huge build up. Luckily for me, I have my honeymoon 2 days after the wedding and then when we get back it'll only be 4 weeks till Xmas. Will be a wreck come January though!! Need to find myself a project.... mmmm....

i have the post wedding blues. 3 weeks after our wedding im typing this, left handed whilst soaking off the shellac and acrylics i had done for the wedding, even that makes me sad. i went back to work last week after short break away...(honeymoon is nxt yr hopefully) to have a reality check....straight back into trying to resit my practical exams, the usual work rubbish and being flat broke. this week seems even worse...stressful family stuff, even worse day at work on monday and now husband says he doesnt think we can afford honeymoon in the new yr, im gutted! y can i not just focus on the fact that i have awonderful husband and we had a beautiful day? im like this after christmas tho....i hate it when its all over. sorry for appauling typing....u need my right hand lol!! does anyone else feel the same?

I dont know, at the moment I am kinda looking forward to having some of my wages to spend on food again lol. We have had to scrimp and save so much that the last year has been really tough. We cant afford to do anything and I know it will be worth it. However, with 2 weeks to go and after I pay all the last bits off I will have about £20 to my name. Cant wait to not have to worry about every penny I earn. Plus Ive had to put off a few gigs due to wedding stuff and our gigs start again after the honeymoon. I dont think I'll get post wedding blues but I will probably have lack of wedding planning blues lol. At the moment, I feel like I will be relieved instead of blue lol

Definitely have something to look forward to - it really helped me! I think it's just such a long time to plan and get excited and nervous and then all of sudden there's nothing left to plan, so it's important to have something to still get excited about. But think of all the time you'll have once all the planning is done, and all the time you can spend with your new husband...not to mention all the money you can NOW put towards a nice holiday or new wardrobe ;)

I thought I would get the post wedding blues and to be honest not had a thing.....I am still off work at the mo though. Might kick in when I have to go back lol. Perhaps its down to the fact we were only planning our big day for 9 months and it didnt really take over too much? I would definitely recommend having something else to look forward to (like a big holiday or another event) though if you think you might be susceptible to it?

i have them! :o( its 3 weeks tomorrow since we got married and i just keep thinking how exciting it all was, how long I looked forward to it and now everything is just back to normal again. Don't get me wrong, normal is fine, but I just kind of expected it to feel different. I'm trying to keep myself busy- we're going on our minimoon to cornwall tomorrow, then its adam's 30th in july so I'm organising a big party for him, then its honeymoon in august - just trying to give myself things to plan!!!

I'm hoping that I wont get them too much - 2 days later we are off on honeymoon for 17 days, then its my 25th birthday not long after we return... Then after that we are waiting for our new house to be built and hoping to move in around crhistmas time so fingers crossed that will give me enough to focus on without getting too blue.. Im always like it though, after big events I always wish they would happen again so will jsut have to really enjoy every moment and go with the flow :) xx

I am really looking forward to my wedding day, the planning has been quite hard work with making 4 bridesmaid dresses plus my own, then redesigning all 5 of them and re-making them.....so I probably wont miss the dressmaking part, I cant wait to finish them to be honest. but the other planning I am enjoying and I might miss that part, and also the actual wedding day.....I am so looking forward to that, and so afterwards....after the honeymoon and going back to work, and shopping and cooking....life will be somewhat of an anti-climax.
