H2B wasnt going to have a stag as he is going to NY for a week with his best man. Then his uncle suggested they just have a quiet one, a night out in town on saturday night. They were supposed to be meeting in town after he and best man had eaten in a pub on the outskirts of the city. Well his best man turned up in shorts and flip flops knowing full well he wouldnt be able to go to town dressed that way! The two of them ended sat in that pub all night. His uncle who had suggested it went to meet them for a couple of hours but then went back to town. Not many of the people going were his actual friends, more aquaintances but even so, it seems so unfair that they convinced him to have the "stag" and then he sat there in the same pub all night. What sort of best man does this? He is always a bit of a party pooper and i wonder if he will ruin the trip to NY too. :(

I could but im pretty sure it would backfire. If i said anything he would tell H2B who would get annoyed at me meddling. I have mentioned to H2B that i feel it may happen and he just shrugged and said he will be fine. TBH I'm not that happy about them going away a week before the wedding leaving me with last minute plans and a child to care for and i havent hidden the fact either. But at the same time it would wind me up so much more if he didnt enjoy it, then i would feel we had wasted a week apart and stressed for no reason.

They were supposed to be going for 4 days in april, but it turned out it cost more for 4 days than for a week. This is the earliest time he could go :( He was so excited I couldnt say no after agreeing to him going in April. I thought I would come round to it but I havent. I resent that he is going away and leaving me with all the little bits to sort plus a full time job and a baby. Its too late to do anything about it now though so I am trying to find a bright side. Ill be staying at my parents for a full weekend whilst he is away and working during the week with the baby to think of and evening to myself. At least I wont need to consult him on any wedding decisions during that time!
It's a shame that he didn't want the do in the first place, it's a wasted evening really. I do wonder how sensible the best man is. It doesn't sound like he really thinks things through.

I'd be peed off him going to NY without me! Haha always wanted to go. It's hard, I know I would want to say something too but end of the day he's his best mate and really is his place to say something as it would if it was your best mate. Sorry Hun, I don't think there is much that can be done here

I have seen this happen to some male friends and it's so annoying sometimes I find that guys love the thought of a stag night yet can't be bothered to actually do anything ! I would just talk to H2B about it maybe say about NY that it maybe an idea they check what's on and in case anything they really want to do needs to be booked in advance this could be something they look into for H2B and actually sort something out .

I wouldn't be happy about OH going to a beautiful city for a week without me so close to the wedding. It's like something from don't tell the bride lol! I told OH he can only go abroad for his stag if go abroad too haha x
